Respect to Generals, politicians, media, soldiers, I expect "truthful hyperbole".re Afghanistan war.

Here's the reality in a nutshell at the lowest levels!

"Navy SEALs call Eddie Gallagher 'toxic' and 'evil' in newly released video interviews"
The videos were obtained by the New York Times.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/navy-seals-call-eddie-gallagher-toxic-evil-newly/story?id=67945069

"The Navy SEALs who served alongside Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher described their platoon leader as "freaking evil" and "toxic," according to new video recordings conducted by criminal investigators obtained by the New York Times. "

The Seals that worked with Gallagher were afraid he would kill them, so they did not tell the story truthfully.  I seriously doubt Tweety cares about the truth tho.

Of course Gallagher speaks for Tweety, his loyalty has been purchased like a mob boss purchases loyalty.

"

The video recordings, as well as text messages sent between the SEALs, are part of a New York Times' documentary airing on Hulu that the Times says reveals the anguish and anger the members of SEAL Team 7 experienced when speaking about Gallagher's actions during their deployment."You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving," Special Operator First Class Corey Scott, a medic in the platoon, told the investigators.

The members said they saw Gallagher shoot civilians and fatally stab a wounded ISIS teenager with a hunting knife. Video from a SEAL's helmet camera, also obtained by the Times, shows the teenager laying on the ground surrounded by the SEAL team before the camera is shut off.

However, during the trial, one of the three SEALs who initially said they witnessed Gallagher stab the ISIS teenager said he had in fact suffocated the captive, not Gallagher."

Like the General who says lies about success in the war were not coordinated, the soldier who has to stand next to Gallagher, Gallagher being a man willing to kill for fun, the soldier lies for Gallagher.  If somehow during the trial the judges and jury do not find Gallagher guilty, that Seal has to go to war with Gallagher!  It would be easy for Gallagher to "friendly fire" kill the witness.

The lawyers defending Gallagher will have blood on their hands.

""They paint a false picture because a couple of individuals came together to paint a false story for their own purposes," Timothy Parlatore, Gallagher's attorney, said.Parlatore, who said he had access to the recordings and texts in the discovery phase of the case, said it was "irresponsible journalism" for the Times to publish parts of the recordings without the larger context of the trial, arguing that additional evidence presented in the courtroom showed some of those SEAL members did not show concern for the ISIS teenager's fate during the incident.

He also claimed that the messages lack proper context and show a level of coordination between the SEAL members against their platoon leader as the court case against Gallagher struggled.

Marc Mukasey, another attorney for Gallagher, told ABC News that the videos "were the product of an incompetent and biased investigation.""

Who is Parlatore?  Who is Mukasey?

Here is Timothy Parlatore's web page:

"Parlatore Law Group"

https://parlatorelawgroup.com/content/timothy-c-parlatore

I sense Parlatore is using Gallagher for publicity.  It takes very little logic to tie Palatore to Tweety via Fox News and other war criminals, and to take note the man actually likes the publicity.

Palatore's web page says he doesn't do the work for publicity, so why is he so strident against the Navy.  Why does Parlatore seek so many headlines to lambast and disrespect the Navy?  Palatore is obviously disrespectful and degrades all Navy legal officers.

In 44 years in the defense contracting business I met with and respected every lawyer in the military.  Parlatore is just being an ass when he says he wants to teach the Navy Judge Advocates General (JAG) Corps how to run a trial.  The JAG officers I knew were very disciplines, very capable, very well trained, and honest.

Parlatore's message is pure evil in my opinion.  Paraltore's legacy on this case will be ugly when Gallagher murders someone, perhaps his wife.

Parlatore is in thos war crimes case for power and money, PERIOD!  As I noted, this is a Dershowitz type defender.

"Lawyer for Navy SEAL accused of war crimes also works for Trump Organization"
By Zachary Cohen, CNN May 24, 2019

https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/24/politics/navy-seal-chief-eddie-gallagher-defense-team-trump/index.html

"Trump Organization lawyer Marc Mukasey started working on the case in recent months, according to sources familiar with the situation."

I see where this came from now . . . I sense political opportunism.  Reads like a Dershowitz defense.  Gallagher makes a good stalking horse for Tweety's political campaign!

"The SEALs told investigators they tried repeatedly to report Gallagher's behavior through the chain of command. But when no action was taken, they went to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which is how Gallagher was ultimately charged, according to the Times.

"Tell the truth, don’t lie or embellish," one SEAL member wrote in the group text in 2017 when they first tried to report Gallagher. "That way, he can't say that we slandered him in any way.""

I believe Gallagher is what the Seals say he is.  You should too.

Tweety Trump pardoned a CERTAIN MONSTER, a war criminal by ANY standard.  Tweety Trump knows NOTHING about war or decency, or rational war, nothing!  Tweety is also a COWARD by any standard and a sick opportunist, using the pardon hopes will get him at least one more vote, that one coming from a menace to society, a war criminal.

Tweety's pardon of this monster has unleashed an animal to prey on innocents, a killer, murdered, a BEAST.  I give Gallagher a year or so before he is arrested for a violent crime.

With respect to Generals, politicians, media and others who applied Tweety Trump's lying technique, purportedly for good, i.e., "truthful hyperbole," about Afghanistan war "progress." deceived us all.

The true truth is out on the war criminal Tweety Trump pardoned, and the war criminal's lawyer defends the war criminal, of course.

The truth is thatr the NAVY SEALs LIED ABOUT Gallagher to protect themselves and to avoid embarrassing the Navy and dishonoring the Navy Seals.  They failed on every count.

The military always coordinates its lies, they must!  The military invented "truthful hyperbole" long before Tweety Trump, and they do it for the "good" of our nation!  But is is not good!

THE US GOVERNMENT LIED TO THE AMWERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT THE WAR WHILE SPENDING ~$2TRILLION TAX DOLLARS ON A FAILED CAUSE.

All governments lie about war.  You can blame Obama in a cartoon if you want.  The United States has lied about wars from the beginning of time, however.  It's essential to lie about war.  Our people die in wars, paid for by tax dollars!

All government lies about war!  We can list Bush, Clinton, Trump too, all lie about war because failure is not an option, so "truth" must be managed for "success."

"Top general: Officials haven't lied about Afghanistan"

By JACQUELINE FELDSCHER12/20/2019 11:53 AM EST

https://www.politico.com/news/2019/12/20/afghanistan-papers-mark-milley-pentagon-088735

"Top Pentagon officials on Friday strongly pushed back against criticism that the Defense Department misled the public on the Afghanistan War, pointing out the high level of congressional, media and inspector general oversight during the past 18 years.

“I know there’s an assertion out there of some sort of coordinated lie over 18 years,” Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley said at the Pentagon. “I find that a mischaracterization in my own personal experience. You’re looking at probably hundreds of general officers, State Department employees, CIA, Department of Defense folks. I just don’t think you can get that level of coordination to do that kind of deception.”"

General, the deception about the Afghanistan war is no more "coordinated" than the deception of Viet Nam War, but it is deception nevertheless.  Deception about progress in war is complex, but it is real.

Defense, no doubt, insulted, but the General lives in a culture that blinds itself to failure.  Therefore, the military leaders tend to lie about progress, or at best, stretch the "truth."

Here's an example of what Tweety Trump would call "truth hyperbole," a lie.  In my 22 years in the Air Force, I worked on a national program building a missile.  I am vague on purpose, as I am still loyal to my country and my service.  Testing is common in developing new systems.  We tested the missile components, ultimately testing the entire missile by launching it off the coast, high, high into the sky.  Our launch failed.  It was necessary to explode the missile in the sky because the guidance system was not working properly.

Testing to failure is not a bad thing.  That is why we test.  It should be OK for the missile to fail, and for it to be destroyed.  BUT, rather than say the test launch failed, the Public Affairs Officer called the test 80% successful.  That is what the military does to protect programs and to protect funding.  It's smart, right?  But it is misleading.

This is a repeat bog in a sense, but written to address those who will defend the war reports of progress in spite of the truth and facts of deception.

WAPO says this:

The Afghanistan war now joins the annals of historically stupid wars.

"Dear subscriber, [This is from the Washington Post]

The project we are publishing this week on Afghanistan demonstrates the indispensable role that journalism plays in a democracy. We seek to uncover the truth about difficult subjects of national import. We are undeterred by obstacles erected by government or other powerful interests. And when we obtain revelatory original documents, we make them available and easily accessible so that Americans can see for themselves what has been done in their name.

The Afghanistan Papers make clear that presidents, generals and diplomats systematically failed to tell the truth about the longest war in U.S. history. The Post sued twice for release of confidential documents during a three-year legal battle, obtaining 2,000 pages of unpublished transcripts and summaries from 428 interviews conducted during a federal project on lessons from the war effort. The government identified 62 interviewees. We are still in court seeking 366 names that remain blacked out.

Please read The Afghanistan Papers. Support from subscribers like you enable us to do our work — thank you.

Sincerely,

Martin Baron, executive editor"

I understand the General defending his colleagues, he has no alternative.  He is wrong, though, and in his heart he knows he is adding to the deception in defending the deception.
