Why does any true Christian buy into the "War on Christmas?" No one ever made war on "Marry Christmas" and if Tweety wanted to bring the country together why is he ONLY INCLUDING CHRISTIANS?
Saying Merry Christmas invites all other religions to get out, depart, leave the room, so to speak. Is that the job of our President, to exclude people based on their religion? Does America only welcome "Christians?" Does America choose to be ONLY Christian, because if that is their choice, they are NOT CHRISTIAN.
Tweety is the divisive force in America, NOT HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Will we ever have Peace on Earth? We humans go to our separate "Tribes" even in the religious and spiritual holidays! We are a sad, sad lot.
Tweety supporters and Democrats, or any "Tribe" who asks "What could Tweety do to bring the nation together?" NOTHING IS THE ANSWER, SADLY. Tweety does many things to divide the nation, and will continue to do more and more to divide our nation while he is President.
America needs a leader in the White House who has the wisdom, maturity, and courage to bring Americans together. America needs a moral leader. America needs a teacher and an example of what we all want to be.
Tweety is smart in his own way, clever, maybe even attractive is some ways, apparently has endless energy, has few bad habits we know of, i.e., non-smoker and non-drinker, but he has NONE of the three traits I list to LEAD America into a unified NATION.
Tweety chooses to divide us.
Tweety chooses not to be America's best hope, or even a good leader.
Tweety chooses not to inspire us to help each other.
Tweety chooses a divided America.
Tweety, Happy Holidays AND Merry Christmas is my wish for Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Catholics, Mexicans, Syrians, Kenyans, Russians, Afghans, Iranians, and on and on and on and on and on and on, ALL of which good, caring, moral, and trustworthy people.
Tweety does not want a unified America because he got elected by dividing America, and it appears he only wants to get elected again, so it makes sense he is sticking to his campaign tactics.
This means America will never be great under his Presidency. Sad. Disappointing.
Thinking long term, this President may bring America to its knees. We will know in two, three years whether current economic benefits are short term or long term. The stock market might go up for a while, but it always comes down. The job market will eventually dry up, and as manufacturers modernize, and manufacturers, as well as service industries use robots and AI to deliver their various products, fewer people will find jobs. The trickle down economics will not last if it ever manifests itself. The deficits will grow and grow and grow, unless Tweety is replaced, along with a Congress with more sense to balance the budget.
We cannot be a unified country with a man in the White House who tweet-bullies people left and right, and undermines so many elements of our democracy, justice / legal, the media, and security / environment.
Here what I mean, an example of how Tweety divides America:
Take Christmas. Rather than use national TV to say "we" are going to use "Merry Christmas" again when WE / I / YOU never stopped using it, Tweety could have explained why HE, personally, wants to use that greeting. I think, Tweety wants his followers to believe his is a Christian, a great and strong Christian. Tweety has bought into the "Christmas Wars" bull crap O'Reilly started in 2005 on Fox News. This was while O'Reilly was sexually assaulting women who worked at Fox, or whom he interviewed. Another sanctimonious hypocrite, O'Reilly.
Therefore, we have Tweety saying "many" people or his blessed "they" (Liberals and others) feel "Merry Christmas" is too religious.
Some non-religious people feel that way, so for them Christmas is a wate of time and money. By the US Constitution the atheists have a right to their non-belief by the way . . .
But there are not many, not the majority of us, who do not want to say "Merry Christmas." I do not know who Tweety is talking to or about, but it is not a lot of people.
Of course, Santa Clause is not "Christian" by any means. Santa is capitalism.
Even if an American is not religious, even atheist, they might say "Merry Christmas" because it feels good.
I am NOT religious, rather I am spiritual meaning I believe in moral and ethical behaviors like love thy neighbor, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I like to say Merry Christmas. Trump even said the same thing about non-Christians when he was making his pitch for "Merry Christmas."
"Trump at Values Voter Summit: We're Saying 'Merry Christmas' Again"
"The president received perhaps the loudest applause from the crowd when he addressed the "war on Christmas."
“We’re getting near that beautiful Christmas season that people don’t talk about anymore. They don’t use the word Christmas because it’s not politically correct," he said to cheers. “You go to department stores and they’ll say 'Happy New Year,' or they’ll say other things and it’ll be red, they’ll have it painted."
"Well, guess what? We’re saying 'Merry Christmas' again.”
Trump said his administration is “stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values.”"
Well, guess what Tweety? Only about ten people, and about two Companies on the planet were "attacking Judeo-Christian values."
You, Tweety, are the only assault on morality and true Christian values!
I never stopped saying "Merry Christmas" and when anyone says Happy Holidays they ARE INCLUDING CHRISTMAS AND TRYING TO SHOW RESPECT FOR OTHER RELIGIONS!
President Dwight D. Eisenhower sent out holiday greetings with "Happy Holidays" in the 1950s and NO ONE COMLAINED! George Bush sent out "Happy Holidays" cards.
People who use "Happy Holidays" are NOT trying to get rid of Christianity during Christmas, but rather trying to respect everyone in our country. THAT brings us together, or it should, UNLESS SOMEONE IS TRYING TO DIVIDE US FROM EACh OTHER!
The history originates . Tweety says some do not want us to say Merry Christmas, and those people deserve our anger, distaste, or something bad. Tweety sarcastically smears businesses like Starbucks when they put Happy Holidays on their coffee cups or use cups with no greeting. Tweety uses the words Christian nation to distinguish good and evil people.
Rather than criticize and get up in people's faces aggressively, Tweety could do a little research to learn where Happy Holidays originated, and why it is a horse used by other presidents going back to Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Allow Americans and businesses to use the holiday expression of their choice.
