Maybe every President has issues, and investigations.  Obama had some.  I doubt, as this cartoon suggests, he PUBLICLY called the "with hunt" card.  Obama could have called some resistance to his initiatives racist, but he never did.  Obama did not cry like a baby about the investigations or resistance to his initiatives. Tweety is whining in PUBLIC that he is being picked on.  Aww, will the bully say he is being bullied?  This is typical of a bully. Tweety is a coward without his "guns."  Tweety bullies people every day, and now he is whining about being investigated?  Stop whining Tweety!

Grow a pair Tweety, and accept what comes to you, good or bad.  Put on you big boy pants and man up!

By the way, Tweety's issues seem worse than Obama's in that his infractions and mistakes can lead to prison for election tampering, fraudulent (lies) tax returns and testimony, obstructing justice relative to crimes of General (ret) Flynn and the Flynn investigation, possible / likely money laundering, sexual predation, and possibly treason in making deals, to benefit himself, with our enemy, Russia, thus undermining America's national security.

"Trump Calls Himself the Victim of a ‘Witch Hunt’" [The pot calling the kettle black.  Tweety the bully says he is being bullied.  lol]

Known for extraordinary claims, this Tweety claim might be his biggest silly comment EVER!  Tweety proves every day that he knows little or amost nothing of American history.  What about McCarthyism you idiot?  What about Japanese internment camps dummy?

"WASHINGTON — President Trump lashed out on Thursday, saying he was the target of an unprecedented witch hunt, a day after the Justice Department appointed a special counsel to investigate ties between his presidential campaign and Russian officials.

In a pair of early morning Twitter posts, Mr. Trump cited, without evidence, what he called the “illegal acts” committed by the administration of his predecessor, Barack Obama, and the campaign of his former opponent, Hillary Clinton — and said they never led to the appointment of a special counsel.

“With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel appointed!” Mr. Trump wrote, misspelling counsel.

Moments later, Mr. Trump added, “This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!”"

A bit off point Mr President, even in RECENT history.

"The president is correct in his observation about the rarity of a special counsel, though his references to the Clinton campaign and the Obama administration may not bolster his case. There were multiple congressional investigations of the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, and the role played by Mrs. Clinton, then the secretary of state, and Mr. Obama."

Tweety seems to be on a path to try to become an autocrat in America.  He mixes actions like signing Executive Orders with bullying and lies and bad / rude / ugly / stupid behavior.  Then Tweety tweets that he is being criticized like no other President was ever criticized, which is wrong, of course.

It seems that way because what he does fits the list of items a government leader, like Putin, would use to take control of the government as an autocrat, or dictator.

I Teety's win-lose, zero sum game, he MUST take control of the government by any means.

"How to Build an Autocracy"
The preconditions are present in the U.S. today. Here’s the playbook Donald Trump could use to set the country down a path toward illiberalism

David Frum, March 2017 Issue

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/03/how-to-build-an-autocracy/513872/

"It’s 2021, and President Donald Trump will shortly be sworn in for his second term. The 45th president has visibly aged over the past four years. He rests heavily on his daughter Ivanka’s arm during his infrequent public appearances. Fortunately for him, he did not need to campaign hard for reelection. His has been a popular presidency: Big tax cuts, big spending, and big deficits have worked their familiar expansive magic. Wages have grown strongly in the Trump years, especially for men without a college degree, even if rising inflation is beginning to bite into the gains. The president’s supporters credit his restrictive immigration policies and his TrumpWorks infrastructure program."

"The president’s critics, meanwhile, have found little hearing for their protests and complaints. A Senate investigation of Russian hacking during the 2016 presidential campaign sputtered into inconclusive partisan wrangling. Concerns about Trump’s purported conflicts of interest excited debate in Washington but never drew much attention from the wider American public.

Allegations of fraud and self-dealing in the TrumpWorks program, and elsewhere, have likewise been shrugged off. The president regularly tweets out news of factory openings and big hiring announcements: “I’m bringing back your jobs,” he has said over and over. Voters seem to have believed him—and are grateful."

No "event" is necessary in David Frum's scenario, but I think this author is wrong.  I think there WILL be critics and there will be charges brought against Tweety.  I have to have hope!  Here is a basis for my hope.

"Trump campaign 'had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians'"
  - Michael Flynn and other advisers allegedly contacted people with Kremlin ties
  - Current and former US officials told Reuters what alleged exchanges included
  - They focussed on US-Russian economic relations and fighting ISIS in Syria
  - No evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia

"Advisers to Donald Trump's election campaign allegedly shared at least 18 calls and emails with Russians in the final stages of the presidential race.

Michael Flynn and other advisers contacted people with Kremlin ties during the last seven months of the campaign, according to current and former US officials familiar with the exchanges.

The alleged discussions focused on mending US-Russian economic relations strained by sanctions imposed on Moscow, cooperating in fighting Islamic State in Syria and containing a more assertive China.

The previously undisclosed interactions form part of the record now being reviewed by FBI and congressional investigators probing Russian interference in the US presidential election and contacts between Trump's campaign and Russia."

Other reasons exist for my hope Tweety will fail to take over our country in autocratic manner.  I already discussed huge reason, like why does Tweety want the "witch hunt" to be targeting him?  He tells the world in a speech that there is a witch hunt after him, so unless he knows he did something wrong, why does he say this?  Did Tweety shut down a criminal investigation of General (RET) Flynn?

"Everything we know so far about Trump and the Russia investigation" [We all MUST read the LA Times time-line of Tweety arrogance and mistakes.]

By Colleen Shalby and Michael Finnegan Contact Reporters

"

The disclosure Tuesday of a memo written by James B. Comey saying that President Trump had asked him to shut down the FBI’s investigation of former national security advisor Michael Flynn followed months of intrigue.

Trump has frequently belittled investigations underway into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. His comments, often on Twitter, have only heightened the suspicions of his detractors about Russia’s ties to Flynn and other senior Trump campaign advisors.

Last week, Trump fired Comey. Democrats have accused the president of trying to obstruct the inquiry by ousting the man who had been heading it. The existence of a memo documenting private conversation between Comey and Trump, first reported Tuesday by the New York Times, has set off widespread speculation that Trump could now be vulnerable to impeachment."
