"Donald Trump, who congratulated Roseanne for her high ratings, said nothing about the egregious racism that led to the show’s cancellation. He did, however, deploy his own hallucinatory sense of victimization."

More from this article.

"All this is central to the relief with which some conservatives greeted the news that Samantha Bee, during a monologue on Wednesday, on her television show, “Full Frontal,” called Trump’s daughter Ivanka a “feckless cunt.” In a single profane stroke, the conversation was shifted from Barr’s racism and Trump’s narcissism to the supposed double standard that applies to liberals guilty of unacceptable behavior. Sarah Huckabee Sanders noted that “the collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling.” Bee apologized, conceding that her joke had “crossed a line.” Her apology, though, served to highlight the chasm between her contrition and the complete absence of the concept in Trump’s public behavior. Trump weighed in on Friday, tweeting, “Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show?”"

What the hell is the President of the United States doing when he says a private citizen should be fired?  Where is a Trump apology for his staffer that said they can ignore McCain because he is dying?  It's  June and not one peep on that staffer's gaff.

"Yet it’s not the case that indefensible humor directed at Trump has gone unpunished. CNN dispatched Kathy Griffin .  .  .  "

Are we normalizing Trump's brutish, nasty behavior?  Is it right to go low to match Trump's bullying?  Is it necessary to go low to beat the bastard?

"L’affaire Barr would be just another border skirmish in the culture war did it not point to a larger question that seems to have vexed many since Trump’s ascent: Has his antagonism toward norms freed his opponents to flout those same rules, or is it more important than ever that they be upheld?"

People who choose to oppose Trump have to be VERY solid with their response, very FACTUAL, and use the right information quickly.  Always tell the TRUTH!

"To the outsider, he appears as the classic bully, capable of dishing it out, incapable of taking it. To the truest of his believers, however, he is cast in heroic terms, pointing out his wounds to show how deeply he has suffered on their behalf—a vulgar Jesus showing off his stigmata at the golf club.

Trump’s response to Roseanne was dictated not just by his narcissism but also by his instinctive antagonism toward the old system of norms."

People who choose to oppose Trump have VERY solid responses to his lies when they debate.  People wo oppose Trump must be very FACTUAL.  People who oppose Trump must provide easy to understand answers and they must do it fast.  Use the right information quickly.

The difference between Trump and those who oppose him must be the TRUTH!  Always tell the TRUTH!  It is essential to restrain ourselves from becoming Trump!

"The threat is not that Trumpism will destroy our sense of decency but rather that it may goad Americans into doing it for him."

Will you, President Trump. apologize for grabbing pussies, walking in on naked teenage girls in your "beauty" pageants, being rude to the Gold Star winner Kahn family, and disrespecting America war hero John McCain or your staffer saying we can ignore McCain, he's dying anyway!?

Twitter has claimed another victim, and ironically it is a Trumpster, Roseanne Bar.  Tweety tries the innocence defense.  Tweety claims ABD is hypocritical?  Tweety is the King of Hypocrisy, and fake news too by the way.

What "horrible" things were said about Tweety, and who believes he gives a damn anyway?

"Trump might have been referring to anti-Trump comments by Keith Olbermann, who recently returned to Disney-owned ESPN, late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s mocking of Melania Trump’s accent or “The View’s” Joy Behar calling Vice President Pence mentally ill because of his faith. Barr had retweeted people comparing those celebrities’ treatment by the network to her own, insinuating there was a double standard at play."

Good luck Roseanne trying to get ABC to rehire you by seeking to shame them.

"At Wednesday’s press briefing, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that Trump was “simply pointing out the bias [in actions]. The president is pointing to the hypocrisy in the media saying the most horrible things about this president and nobody addresses it,” she said. “Where was Bob Iger’s apology to the White House staff for Jemele Hill calling the president and anyone associated with him a white supremacist? [They are!] To Christians around the world for Joy Behar calling Christianity a mental illness? [Actually many. many pseudo-Christian hypocrites ARE mentally ill as they preach hate and judge weaker peoples and discriminate against other religions and blacks, but she meant Pence only.] Where was the apology for Kathy Griffin going on a profane rant against the president on ‘The View’ [Tweety I more profane than ANYONE!  It's called free speech and she did not lie about anything or make racist commends like Roseanne.] after a photo showed her holding President Trump’s decapitated head? [The decapitated head was a bit much, but that was not an ABC show,] And where was the apology from Bob Iger for ESPN hiring Keith Olbermann after his numerous expletive-laced tweets attacking the president as a Nazi [Tweety acts like a Nazi King.] and even expanding Olbermann’s role after that attack against the president’s family? This is a double standard that the president is speaking about. No one is defending her comments; they’re inappropriate. But that’s the point that he was making.”"

Sorry for Sanders missing the point.  ESPN's hots is right to call out the White Supremacists in the White House, mainly Trump.  Pence is the nutcase, not Christianity, although a LOT of Christians are nutcases and cruel bullies..

"Roseanne Barr lashes out at co-stars; Trump wonders why he hasn’t gotten an apology from ABC, too"

"Roseanne Barr’s Twitter saga didn’t end with the cancellation of her show Tuesday. Early Wednesday morning, she was back at it, first blaming Ambien and defensively comparing ABC’s response to her racist and otherwise offensive tweetstorm to those of other celebrities who have made controversial comments. And President Trump, who has personally congratulated Barr on the initial success of “Roseanne,” finally weighed in on the rapidly unfolding controversy Wednesday. Trump questioned why the head of ABC parent company Disney had called Valerie Jarrett — the target of Barr’s racist comments — to apologize, when he hadn’t received similar treatment."
