"Why Trump Keeps Creating Crises"
He needs them to maintain his support.

"The Trump candidacy was itself based on creating a sense of crisis. This was no small feat, given that Barack Obama was reasonably popular and the economy was growing. "
Donald Trump creates chaos and crisis, problems almost daily. Then he does something to somewhat "fix" the thing he did, and he gets praise for being so smart? Congress-people striving to halt an investigation of Russian attack on our democracy is unpatriotic at best, treason at worst. Why can't these Congressmen let the investigation go to completion?
1. tariffs and trade war, send farmers $16B - fixed
2. takes immigrant kids as a matter of policy NOT LAW, then returns some (not all tho - now Border Patrol wants to say the tricked [the Border Patrol has admitted to tricking parents into giving up their kids by promising to return them] parents are "unfit") - fixed
3. praises Putin while disrespecting America, and his intelligence community, then walks it back so Tweety considers it a "fixed" situation - fixed
4. launches tariffs against European Union, disrespects Euro[ean Allies (UK, German) and says they are the enemy (what!), then calls a truce when the EU leader comes forward to talk about free trade - fixed

5 he did not create a nuke standoff with N. Korea, but he claims credit for fixing it; meet with North Korean leader and say they are de-nuked; no, North Korea is NOT de-nuked - fixed
6. chastise NATO Allies for not spending the "GOAL' of 2% GDP on defense; Tweety bullies the Allies into saying they will try to increase defense spending to 4% - but will the Allies be able to spend that much as it will require budget trade offs Americans are willing to make, but Europeans may not be willing to make, like in social programs -Tweety says he successfully got more spending and agreement o the increase - fixed
The fix Tweety provides is always partial, sloppy, and does not really fix everything he damages.
"Trump keeps claiming credit for fixing things that aren't fixed"
Analysis by Z. Byron Wolf, CNN Updated 8:19 AM ET, Sat July 7, 2018

"It's not unlike the famous old quote attributed to Vermont Sen. George Aitken, a Republican, who put forward a plan for the US in Vietnam in 1966. The United States should declare victory and get out, he's been quoted as saying. Whether Aitken said it that way or not and what exactly he meant has been debated.
Trump actually did sort of declare victory on North Korea immediately upon touching down on US soil after the summit in June with Kim.
"Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office," Trump said on Twitter. "There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.""
"The Great Undoer"
Donald Trump’s biggest political wins have come in dismantling existing policies, but constructive and proactive steps have eluded him.

Here's a surprise tho . . .
"Economists agree: Trump, not Obama, gets credit for economy"
By Liz Peek, opinion contributor — 01/14/18 09:30 AM EST
http://thehill.com/opinion/finance/368904-economists-agree-trump-not-obama-gets-credit-for-economy
"The Wall Street Journal asked 68 business, financial and academic economists who was responsible for the strengthening of the economy, and most “suggested Mr. Trump’s election deserves at least some credit” for the upturn. "
Economists?
"A year ago in the same survey, economists awarded President Obama mixed grades. Most saw his policies as positive for financial stability, but neutral-to-negative for GDP growth and negative for long-term growth. By contrast, Trump was seen as neutral to positive for long-term gains.
Why would Trump rate higher than Obama with this group? Economists point to the upturn in business confidence that accompanied Trump’s election, and tie that to increasing business investment. Spending on capital goods accelerated sharply over the first three quarters of last year, growing at an annualized rate of 6.2 percent."
What about the tax cuts?
"Unhappily Trump, voters have not yet caught up with the experts. Democrats have done an excellent job of trashing Trump’s policies, issuing hysterical alarms over the supposed dangers of deregulation (toxic water, foul air!) and vilifying the GOP tax bill.
Imagine the nation polling negative on a tax cut for an estimated 90 percent of the workers. That takes genius."
We'll see about the long term impact of the tax reform as a whole . . . It's probably not wise to declare victory so soon, eh Liz?
It looks like Tweety makes people and businesses feel optimistic about their bank accounts.
"Even the New York Times, no friend to President Trump, has described the “wave of optimism” sweeping over Americans business leaders, saying it is “beginning to translate into the sort of investment in new plants, equipment and factory upgrades that bolsters economic growth, spurs job creation — and may finally raise wages significantly.”
The Times ran the piece on New Year's Day, pretty much guaranteeing it would attract few readers, but still.
More than two million workers have now received bonuses and or raises, with their bosses telling them the benefits are flowing from the GOP tax bill. That number will continue to grow as other companies are pressured into sharing the proceeds from lower taxes. This is a powerful and persuasive movement that is gaining momentum every day, which is probably why Democrats are so foolishly belittling the payouts."
So is this factual and true? Who does Liz Peek work for and who does she support politically?
"Liz Peek: Why Chuck Schumer’s about to have a very bad week (hint: It’s the Trump economy, stupid)"
Liz Peek of Fox News (of course)
"Despite withering criticism for President Trump’s press conference in Helsinki, establishment outrage over his trash-talking of NATO, alarm among even his supporters about a looming trade war, lingering angst over families separated at the border and serial other “offenses,” President Trump’s approval rating over the past week crept higher."
2018 might be the Trump economy, and that is OK, but stop the Trump drum-beat against Obama, and stop trying to minimize what Obama did. The flight path of the economy was Obama's. PERIOD.
Liz speaks of "criticism" of a depraved performance in Helsinki by Trump - Liz, the criticism was well deserved, even more than the credit you give Tweety for te 2018 economy.
Liz, you are minimizing a fact and a blatant sell-out of America so you can give Tweety credit for economic news?
When did you last read your history books of WWII? The Cold War? America's fight against incursions by Communism?
Are you kidding Liz? Liz, did you know Communism and Russia are the anti-thesis of our democracy? Long term, will the praise for Trump be earned or will American's find themselves subservient to Russia and Putin?
"Trump's right: The economy is doing well and he deserves some credit"

"Trump doesn’t deserve the credit for the economy. Neither does Obama."
by Charles Lane Opinion writer January 17, 2018
"The pollsters should have offered a third choice. If personal responsibility for prosperity belongs to anyone, it would be the cerebral economist who on Wednesday presided over the last Federal Reserve meeting of her four-year term as chair: Janet L. Yellen.
Of course, presidents matter. And to the extent they do, Obama deserves more props for the economy than Trump, because the current positive trends all got started under his administration. Trump's tax cuts and regulatory reforms may constitute the magic formula he claims, but, for better or worse, they have not yet taken full effect."
