There is NO immigrant problem at the Mexican border!  Trump ignores the facts and truth to GASLIGHT America on this non-issue.  Go read the Cato Institute study - native born Americans commit more crimes than immigrants, PERIOD.

Example of Trump's "data" and "facts" here:

"The original source for Trump’s claim of 63,000 immigrant murders? Bad data from Steve King in 2006."

by Philip Bump             June 22, 2018

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2018/06/22/the-original-source-for-trumps-claim-of-63000-immigrant-murders-bad-data-from-steve-king-in-2005/?utm_term=.564a9005a728&wpisrc=nl_most&wpmm=1

" . . . [Trump returned] to a tactic he first embraced less than a month after declaring his candidacy: standing with the parents of people killed by immigrants in the country illegally to suggest that immigrants pose a significant threat to Americans."

The data [TRUTH & FACTS] suggests that immigrants, including immigrants in the country illegally, commit crimes at lower rates than native-born Americans. But Trump has consistently rejected that idea, instead choosing to hype vague assertions that immigrants are more dangerous.

Trump uses lies to gaslight Americans!

"“Sixty-three thousand Americans since 9/11 have been killed by illegal aliens,” an attendee said. “This isn’t a problem that’s going away; it’s getting bigger”

“Sixty-three thousand, and that number they say is very low because things aren’t reported,” Trump replied. “Sixty-three thousand, and you don’t hear about that.”

No, you don’t. Because it’s demonstrably not true, and it wends its way back to a blog post from 2005 written by none other than Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa)."

The numbers Trump uses do not calculate, nor are they anywhere close to truth.  It s insane to trust anything Tweety says as truth or fact.

"Consider that there were an estimated 17,250 murders in the United States in 2016, the most recent year for which full FBI data is available."

The calculation of 63,000 murders was torture at best.  Here's how a mindless idiot Rep King invented the number using a magic 28% population:

"“The crimes that are committed by those who enter this country illegally are in significantly greater numbers than the crimes that are committed by American citizens,” King said, “to the extent that 28 percent of the inmates in our prisons in the United States are criminal aliens, 28 percent.”

That figure he got from a Government Accountability Office report issued in April 2005. It read:

“At the federal level, the number of criminal aliens incarcerated increased from about 42,000 at the end of calendar year 2001 to about 49,000 at the end of calendar year 2004 — a 15 percent increase. The percentage of all federal prisoners who are criminal aliens has remained the same over the last 3 years — about 27 percent.”
So, King figured (admitting that the number would go up or down a percentage point or two):

”That means then that criminal aliens are committing 28 percent of the crimes in the United States. [No, it does not mean that.  Not really!] And so that means 28 percent of the murders, 28 percent of the rapes, 28 percent of the violence and the assaults and battery, first- and second-degree murder and also manslaughter attacks are committed by criminal aliens.”

In other words, since 28 percent of the prisoners were immigrants in the country illegally, they must also therefore have committed 28 percent of each and every crime! Quod erat demonstratum. Recognizing that this sounded like a lot even at the time, King rationalized it by asserting that for every undocumented immigrant in the country we know about, two or three sneak in without our knowing it. Here’s how we know that’s not true.

There is an almost impossibly large number of problems with King’s argument.

The first is that, of course, crime is not evenly distributed among populations. If 10 percent of prisoners are named John, that doesn’t mean that people named John commit 10 percent of murders. Many of those undocumented immigrants in federal custody were probably there for a very specific type of crime: felony immigration violations. Very, very few native-born Americans were there for that. In fact, in 2014, half of criminal arrests were for immigration violations. Since the GAO data are only for federal prisoners, that’s significant. (It’s also worth noting, as a reader did, that federal prisoners make up only a small percentage of the entire prison population.)

What’s more, the GAO data dealt with “criminal aliens” — defined in the report as “noncitizens convicted of crimes while in this country legally or illegally,” emphasis again added. In other words, King’s 28 percent number included people who weren’t even immigrants who had entered the country illegally."

The explanation of King's stupidity goes on, but you see the point . . . I HOPE!  Trump uses stupidity for hits truth.

The President is an intellectual MIDGET outside his narrow real of "expertise!"  Trump is dumber than DIRT on real world issues!

Trump is creating a problem where there is none to scare Americans into voting for him.  Lots of Americans believe everything Trump says because he sounds like them, and projects their fears back onto them.  Trump is a Master Liar.  It is a good strategy to get elected but for the wrong reasons.

The #1 catches my attention first for obvious TRUMP-reasons: BIG LIES!  Big Lies say "Trump" by definition!!

Trump is doing little more than his usual marketing bull shit with the Executive Order relative to the kids ICE already kidnapped, and, worse, he wants to keep families incarcerated indefinitely, even if together.

"Mothers in a New Mexico Prison Do Not Know How to Find Their Children"

By Jonathan Blitzer           21 June 2018

"Honduran woman named Esmeralda Pérez and her nine-year-old son, Jefferson, had just crossed the U.S. border when they were arrested, outside El Paso, on May 26th. “The agents came up to us, and my son said to me, ‘Mom, I’m scared,’ ” Pérez told me. “I said to him, ‘Don’t worry, these people aren’t going to hurt us.’ ” Pérez showed the agents her I.D. and her son’s birth certificate, and said that they were fleeing persecution. They were taken to a Border Patrol station, where they spent the night. The next day, around noon, an agent walked into their cell. “Come with me and bring me your kid,” he told Pérez. “The agent said he was going to take my son because I needed to pay a penalty and go to jail,” Pérez said. “But he didn’t tell me where they were taking him.” She hasn’t seen or spoken to her son since.

In the past month and a half, the Trump Administration has separated at least twenty-five hundred children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, under a new zero-tolerance policy—without instituting a plan or protocol for how to reunite them."

The Border Patrol takes the kids, but has no records to find them later?!  How can anyone tolerate that kind of State sponsored terrorism?  THAT IS INHUMAN!

It is even worse when you realize the kids taken from their mothers can be sick, and they are destined for internment in "resettlement camps."  My God, what has America come to?  We are returning to days of camps for Japanese, Chinese, and native American Indians, not to mention the sickness of slavery.

"Pérez cried as she described all the unanswered questions that she had about her son. Jefferson has asthma, the result of a respiratory infection that he contracted five years ago, in Honduras. Would it flare up now that he was in a new climate? He also has a congenital skin infection. “If he doesn’t wash right, it gets infected and he’ll become very sick,” Pérez said. “Who’s going to tell him how to wash it?” A few days ago, through a relative who lives in the U.S., she heard that her son might be in Michigan, at a shelter run by the Office of Refugee Resettlement, the federal organization in charge of handling unaccompanied immigrant children."

"Why a Rogue President Was Forced to Back Down on Family Separation"

By John CassidyJune         20, 2018

"Clearly, Trump didn’t make this U-turn because he had grown tired of fear-mongering and racial incitement, or because he had experienced a crisis of conscience. (It’s far from clear that he’s even capable of such a thing.) He reversed course because he had no choice politically. Although he often adopts the rhetoric and body language of an authoritarian strongman, he’s an elected politician. And in the face of mass outrage, bipartisan opposition, and condemnation from church groups and other civil-society institutions, the child-separation policy was no longer sustainable."

Finally Americans stood up to the bully!  Finally Americans found their soul, their values and said STOP!  Too much outrage for his state terror led to Tweety signing his EO to end it.  BUT lots of crap remains.

The Trump order allowing families to stay together is vague in many ways and may still do incredible harm.  He wants to keep them jailed for longer than 20 days!

Some degree of state sponsored terror has now been halted, by Trump himself, after he said only legislation could stop the terror reigning down on ALL immigrants on our Mexican border, legal seeking sanctuary and illegal.

Trump said it was the law to separate kids from mom and dad; Sessions backed him up USING THE F**KING BIBLE; Tweety established a policy that was not a law and suggested he would not over-ride the "law" created by the Democrats that requires the Border Patrol to separate children from their parents.  Then the sad inhuman idiot, Tweety, signed an Order that changed his policy (it was never a law!)!

Separating families is a Trump POLICY!  This is obvious now as he signs the Executive Order!  BUT he was not seeking to help anyone he already harmed.

".  .  .  on Wednesday evening, CBS News reported that despite Trump’s executive order the Department of Health & Human Services, which runs the child-detention centers, won’t make any special efforts to reunite the families that have already been split up, and that the separated children will be dealt with under the same processes that have been in effect since May. Kenneth Wolfe, a spokesman for the Department, confirmed this to the Times, saying, “There will not be a grandfathering of existing cases.” (Later Wednesday night, the Department put out a statement saying its spokesman had “misspoke” and it was “awaiting further guidance on the matter.”)

At most, this was a very partial U-turn."

VERY partial change, and the Executive Order change had nothing to do with the "heart."  I am not sure Tweety has a "heart" in the traditional sense of the word anyway.  He is capable of immense cruelty.

Even the usual gutless and soul-less Trump supporters could not accpet separating families.

"On Tuesday, the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, until now Trump’s faithful enabler on Capitol Hill, stated publicly that he and his fellow Republican Senators were in agreement that the child-separation policy “needs to be fixed.” On Wednesday morning, Paul Ryan, the Speaker of the House, said that on Thursday the lower chamber would “vote on legislation to keep families together.” In the past year and a half, congressional Republicans have demonstrated that there is little they won’t do to abase themselves before Trump, if it means getting the policy results they desire. But even usually gutless pro-Trump Republicans weren’t willing to enter a campaign season defending a policy of tearing infants from their parents and keeping them detained in tents and metal cages."

An ass fart of a cow smells better than Tweety's intentions . . .

".  .  .  he intends to stick with his campaign theme of targeting undocumented immigrants, and depicting them as base creatures who could “infest” the United States. The political crisis is by no means over, nor is the migrant crisis. Until the children in the detention camps are reunited with their parents, and a reasonable system is reinstituted for dealing with families detained at the border, there is no cause for celebration."

And Obama never did what Tweety did to immigrant families.

"This was real news, not fake news, and, ultimately, it forced Trump to back down."

"Fact check: Did Obama administration separate families?"
This claim, from DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and conservative commentators, is false, according to immigration advocates and former officials.
by Jane C. Timm / Jun.19.2018 / 6:17 PM ET / Updated Jun.20.2018

https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/immigration-border-crisis/fact-check-did-obama-administration-separate-families-n884856

".  .   . there was no widespread Obama-era policy of separating parents and children — but it's a common talking point for Republican commentators and members of the president's administration. Trump's policy, now temporarily halted, aimed to prosecute every single illegal border crossing, including asylum-seekers. The government separated children from their parents or legal guardians because the adults had been referred for prosecution for illegal entry into the United States.

The Fact Check seems to say Obama did NOT do what Trump did.

"The Obama administration, the Bush administration all separated families," Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told reporters at the White House on Monday. "They absolutely did. They did — their rate was less than ours, but they absolutely did do this. This is not new."

"This is a policy that is implemented under the Obama Administration," former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said on Fox News."

The Fact Check seems to say Obama did NOT do what Trump did.

"The idea that this is simply a continuation of an Obama-era practice is "preposterous," said Denise Gilman, director of the Immigration Clinic at the University of Texas Law School. "There were occasionally instances where you would find a separated family — maybe like one every six months to a year — and that was usually because there had been some actual individualized concern that there was a trafficking situation or that the parent wasn’t actually the parent."

Once custody concerns were resolved, "there was pretty immediately reunification," Gilman told NBC News. "There were not 2,000 kids in two months — it’s not the same universe," she added."

More.

"The Obama administration did detain families together — some indefinitely — in hopes of deterring future migrants back in 2014, earning protests and public outrage at the time."

More.

"During the Obama administration, courts intervened in several cases in which families were detained together. The detention of migrants could not be used as an effort to deter asylum-seekers, according to one ruling. According to another, the detention of minors with their parents ran afoul of the 1997 Flores settlement, a ruling that set standards for the detention of minors by prioritizing them for release to the custody of their families and requiring those in federal custody to be placed in the least restrictive environment possible."

"No, Donald Trump’s separation of immigrant families was not Barack Obama’s policy"
By John Kruzel on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018

http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2018/jun/19/matt-schlapp/no-donald-trumps-separation-immigrant-families-was/

"Obama policy
Immigration experts we spoke to said Obama-era policies did lead to some family separations, but only relatively rarely, and nowhere near the rate of the Trump administration. (A Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman said the Obama administration did not count the number of families separated at the border.)"

It is very sad, as we compare Obama to Trump immigrant family policies, is the lack of clear, fact-based data.  WE only have testimony of people involved, rather than accounting-like records of the numbers of families affected.

Will a court say he cannot keep his Order?  We'll see about that when the time comes.  From the article cited below . . .

"But Justice Department [Sessions preference?] officials said it was not clear whether the practice of separating families could resume after 20 days if a federal judge refuses to give the government the authority it wants to hold families together for a longer period."

"Trump Retreats on Separating Families, but Thousands Will Remain Apart"

By Michael D. Shear, Abby Goodnough and Maggie Haberm                                   20 June 2018

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/20/us/politics/trump-immigration-children-executive-order.html

WASHINGTON — President Trump caved to enormous political pressure on Wednesday and signed an executive order meant to end the separation of families at the border by detaining parents and children together for an indefinite period.

“We’re going to have strong — very strong — borders, but we are going to keep the families together,” Mr. Trump said as he signed the order in the Oval Office. “I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated.”

It took a while to feel anything did it?  Tweety had to watch his terror unfold for a while before he felt any feelings for the babies and toddlers being separated from their parents?  Tweety had no idea he could do so much damage so easily?

".  .  .  a Health and Human Services official said that more than 2,300 children who have already been separated from their parents under the president’s “zero tolerance” policy will not be immediately reunited with their families while the adults remain in federal custody during their immigration proceedings."

Trump should apologize.  He did a bad thing.  He will not apologize.  Tweety truly does not think he did anything wrong, but there will be babies and toddlers that are traumatized.

It is still UGLY.

"And a Health and Human Services official said that more than 2,300 children who have already been separated from their parents under the president’s “zero tolerance” policy will not be immediately reunited with their families while the adults remain in federal custody during their immigration proceedings.

“There will not be a grandfathering of existing cases,” said Kenneth Wolfe, a spokesman for the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Wolfe said the decision about the children was made by the White House, but he added, “I can tell you definitively that is going to be policy.”"

There will still be babies and toddlers traumatized because of Trump's POLICY!  POLICY!

It was ALWAYS A TRUMP POLICY TO USE KIDS, BABIES, AND TODDLERS AS HUMAN SHIELDS, AS HOSTAGES, JUST AS ISIS USES PEOPLE AS HUMAN SHIELDS TO GET WHAT THEY WANT.  TRUMP HURT TO GET FUNDING FOR HIS WALL!

"The president signed the executive order days after he said that the only way to end the division of families was through congressional action because “you can’t do it through an executive order.” But he changed his mind after a barrage of criticism from Democrats, activists, members of his own party and even his wife and eldest daughter, who privately told him it was wrong.

Stories of children being taken from their parents, audio of wailing toddlers and images of teenagers in cagelike [Or as Fox and Friends like to call them, animal pens like on the farm.] detention facilities had exploded into a full-blown political crisis for Mr. Trump and congressional Republicans, who were desperate for a response to those who have called the practice “inhumane,” “cruel” and “evil.”"

Trump has no compassion for any human being on earth except, maybe, just MAYBE, Ivanka.

"What We Know: Family Separation And 'Zero Tolerance' At The Border"

by Camila Domonoske, Richard Gonzales            June 19, 20182:17 PM ET

https://www.npr.org/2018/06/19/621065383/what-we-know-family-separation-and-zero-tolerance-at-the-border

"Updated at 4:40 a.m. ET Wednesday

Since early May, 2,342 children have been separated from their parents after crossing the Southern U.S. border, according to the Department of Homeland Security, as part of a new immigration strategy by the Trump administration that has prompted widespread outcry.

On Wednesday, President Trump signed an executive order reversing his policy of separating families — and replacing it with a policy of detaining entire families together, including children, but ignoring legal time limits on the detention of minors.

Here's what we know about the family separation policy, its history and its effects:

Did the Trump administration have a policy of separating families at the border?

Yes."

Sad news.  Despite the Executive Order, over 2,000 kids may never see their parents again, or it may be months or years before they are reunited with a deported parent.

"Can parents who are prosecuted be reunited with their children?
Parents face a court hearing where, as Burnett has reported, they may face objections from prosecutors if their lawyers try to bring up their children in a bid for leniency."

If parents are eventually released from detention, they will be able to take custody of their own children, Nielsen said at a news conference Monday.

In a statement to NPR, ICE expanded on the process of family reunification.

During a parent's detention, "ICE and ORR will work together to locate separated children, verify the parent/child relationship, and set up regular communication and removal coordination, if necessary," ICE says. A hotline has been set up to help parents and children find each other.

"ICE will make every effort to reunite the child with the parent once the parent's immigration case has been adjudicated," a spokesman said. Parents being deported may request that their children leave with them or may decide to leave the children in the U.S. to pursue their own immigration claim, ICE says. For instance, they might suggest another family member in the U.S. to sponsor their child, as described above.

However, The New Yorker spoke to lawyers and advocates who said there is no formal process or clear protocol for tracking parents and children within the system and that chaotic systems and inadequate record keeping make it difficult even to know which facility a child might be kept at."

HOW CAN YOU TAKE KIDS WITH NO SOLID PROCESS TO RETURN THEM TO THEIR PARENTS!!!!
