Despite Trump's claims and his supporters claims, I believe the Wall is not magic!

The crimes committed by illegals that are tallied in Sanctuary Cities are not the crimes of a serious nature. ILLEGALS ARE NOT HERE TO COMMIT CRIMES! ILLEGALS also do not drain the US treasury, they add to it!

So who are the new arrivals? Are they mostly people crossing the southern border illegally? No. They are mostly people who arrive in the United States on legal visas who don’t leave when they are required to."
So illegals are NOT pouring across out Mexican border! Most "illegals" are over staying visas!
Drugs are coming across the Mexico border, but this Is not new and a Wall will not stop the flow because the bulk of the drugs come across in vehicles.
Human trafficking may be occurring, but that's not new either. Detective work is more effective than a Wall in stopping human trafficking.

How about terrorists? There is a possibility for terrorists to come thru South America and Mexico into the USA, but that is not a new threat. Under Obama a study of the European terrorists considered the Mexico border a possibility for terrorists travel. It has been on the government radar for years. A Wall will not work, but good detective work can help.
Disease is no more a threat from the southern border than from any airport in the USA! And the cost argument is not complete until the discussion includes what illegals ADD to the economy. Illegals do not sit around collecting welfare.

Lets go with a fence, which we already have, and do what is necessary for true national security . . .
FIX OUR INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE BORDER AND ACROSS AMERICA! Roads, bridges, electric lines, water carrying lines, etc., etc., etc. can be repaired and upgraded with $5B!
Trump and his allies want Americans to believe the absurd, that his Wall will stop drugs, human trafficking, and crime, surely terrorism too, "pouring" across the southern border to America, but what is he doing about all these coming in from EVERY other border to America?
Border security is better medical support at the border - that would take care of the threat of diseases and save immigrant kids lives.
Border security is more staff and better physical facilities to help house and process sanctuary / asylum claims authorized by the UN Constitution.
Border security is not about stopping MS-13 thru a Wall. Many MS-13 gang members got into the US LEGALLY!
Border security is not improved by lies about crime and disease. When we use false data to solve "problems" we are admitting there is a solution (the Wall) looking for a problem.
The Wall does not STOP illegal immigration, crime in America, or transmission of diseases.
Tom Homan asserted Illegal immigrants committed 2,000 murders, 11,000 sex crimes - OBVIOUS lies. What is Tom's motivation? Why is he lying? Or is Tom a nut case?
I'm pretty sure Tom Homan is lying or, at best, twisting the facts, when he states the crime rate and identifies diseases brought by illegal immigrants.

"Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan on Wednesday blasted House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for calling a border wall ineffective and accusing President Trump of “fear mongering” with the illegal immigration issue.
“Every place a wall or barrier has been built, it has resulted in decreased illegal immigration, decreased drug smuggling [BUT DID NOT STOP EITHER ONE!]. One hundred percent of the time, it has proven effective,” [Compared to what other methods Mr Homan? Every expert, REAL expert will tell you there are better ways to manage immigration! Are you intentionally mischaracterizing the usefulness of a Wall?] Mr. Homan said on Fox News, where he is a contributor.
“Look at the rest of the data on the border, where arrests of MS-13 [gang] this year are up 118 percent, the seizures of guns — for God’s sake — are up almost 200 percent. [Percentages are fun, right Mr. Homan! They help us sell snake oil and lots of crap. If I go from 1 to 2 I have a 100% increase! Going from 2 to 4 is 200%.] There’s your data. Look at it. You can see why we need a wall,” he said.
Mr. Homan, a veteran of the Border Patrol agent and investigator for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said Mr. Trump was “doing the right thing” in shutting down the government in a fight with Democrats over funding a wall or barrier on the border with Mexico.
The partial shutdown began Saturday, affecting about 25 percent of the federal government, including the Department of Homeland Security.
Mrs. Pelosi told USA Today that Mr. Trump was using the wall to “fear monger.”
“He talked about terrorists coming in over that particular border, which wasn’t so. He talked about people bringing in diseases [When did the southern border become a source for any serious disease? Air travel brought us Ebola!] and all the rest of that [What is "that" sir?], which wasn’t so,” said Mrs. Pelosi, who is poised to become speaker when Democrats take control of the House next week. “He’s using scare tactics that are not evidence-based, and it’s wrong.”
Mr. Homan said Mrs. Pelosi is “100 percent wrong.” [Using percentages to say someone is wrong is completely useless in this case, eh Mr. Homan? What is your agenda? I suspect you are a consultant for ICE in your retired situation and want to promote ICE budgets.]
“Allow me to educate Mrs. Pelosi,” he said. “As far as crime coming across the border, ICE arrested 138,000 criminals last year. These are people who entered the country illegally and committed crimes against the people of this country.”
Last year, ICE arrested illegal immigrants in more than 2,000 homicides cases, more than 11,000 weapon violations and almost 12,000 sexual assaults, Mr. Homan said.
U.S. immigration officials routinely deal with contagious diseases, including tuberculosis, measles and chickenpox, he said.
Mr. Homan recalled the massive effort to treat an illegal immigrant man with a rare strain of tuberculosis of TB.
“We had to work with CDC and Texas Department of Health to find a way to treat this gentleman, so we kept him locked up for months at great taxpayer expense. Imagine if that strain of TB were to get released into the American society,” Mr. Homan said."
