"We can all do better!" (Jim Jefferies)
Veterans, which I am one, 22 years in the Air Force, 27 as an "Army brat!", worked and fought to defend Kaepernick's right to protest peacefully, even if it meant kneeling to the flag of the United States to convey a message America needs to hear!
Veterans, you know we have failed the flag and need to show the flag we can do better!
Tweety / Trump is the last person on the planet to call out anyone for disrespect for our nation's flag or values! Tweety praised Nazis and White Nationalists in Charlottesville as "some good people on both sides," and finds the Confederate flag is OK. The Confederate flags is immensely more disrespectful than taking a knee to APOLOGIZE for failings in America to live up to the values and standards our flag represents.
Tweety is playing a patriotic tune, and Tweety ran away from the draft five times! Tweety is no patriot, using his dog whistle talents to enrage people too unaware to realize he is playing them like a fiddle.
Get perspective folks. Tweety is calling peaceful protesters son-of-a-birth, and praising Nazis in Charlottesville! Get it! THINK! You are being played, dog whistled. The code is that black people should thank God they aren't lynched, get a pat on the head by white people, and have jobs.
Know your place black people is Tweety's message.
Tweety wanted Hillary assassinated as he claimed to defend the Second Amendment, said McCain was not a hero, and insulted a Gold Star family, not to mention his disrespect for transgender soldiers who have served LOYALLY and also Dream Act adults who risked their lives to rescue people in Houston, Texas after the hurricane! Tweety has NO STANDING ON PATRIOTISM, NONE!
The American flag stands for doing the right thing, doing good, achieving glory by great/honorable deeds, and success that benefits all, not special interests, not racism, not bad / rogue cops overstepping their limits and killing suspects, demeaning / undermining justice, and hate of White Nationalists, true fascists and American Nazis.
Everyone missing Kaepernicks intent needs to think more deeply. You are responding to simple programming and you do not get the point. Bad things in America are DISRESPECTFUL, NOT KNEELING and PRAYNG to the flag for forgiveness for the harm we have done to what it represents.
Americans need to kneel and apologize to our flag for the bad things we think and do!
We disrespect the flag by many physical acts with the flag, so many as to make the Kaepernick protest message miniscule! Think about what you see and do, all you people damning Kaepernick. YOU ARE WRONG!

"
According to the United States Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8(c) does state, "The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free."
The source of the tweets come from a website dedicated to the history and codes of the flag. The actual codes prepared by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the United States House of Representatives has different section numbers, but each tweet is verbatim from the codes written.
This might be the first time you've heard about the U.S. Flag Code. It's a list of rules on how the flag should be displayed, and no matter where you stand on this issue, if we're being completely honest, we've probably violated some of these codes: "
Go read the code! Then stop craping on Kaepernick because you think he is a spoiled rich kid, when he is not spoiled. He is religious, honest, and truth, none of which I can say about the President of the United States.

Example:
The flag should not be used as "wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery", or for covering a speaker's desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general (exception for coffins).
