Does America believe that, as we get older, we should be required to pay more for health insurance?

Does America feel the rich deserve big tax breaks?  Do the rich need a tax break?

Does the American middle class think we should pay 60% more for insurance than we did under the Affordable Care Act as the Tweety health plan removes subsidies up to ~$24,000 to insurance companies, as the new health care plan offers ~$4,000 tax refunds as the replacement?

Tweety says he did not "give up" when his health care law failed to pass this year.  He did not say he would let the Affordable Care Act fail on its own.  Tweety did not say he was moving on to tax reform, and leaving health care for later.

Just ask Tweety and he will "correct the record" as he always does, by twisting the truth and using new words to replace the video of words he provided before.  Americans are not supposed to believe Tweety videos, his words on video.  We all know to wait for a while, maybe until the next tweet to learn what Tweety means.

New "facts," his alt-facts, and his other reality .  .  .

"MacArthur Amendment to the American Health Care Act - 4/13/17"

"Insurance Market Provisions
The MacArthur Amendment would:
• Reinstate Essential Health Benefits as the federal standard
• Maintain the following provisions of the AHCA:
o Prohibition on denying coverage due to preexisting medical conditions
o Prohibition on discrimination based on gender
o Guaranteed issue of coverage to all applicants
o Guaranteed renewability of coverage
o Coverage of dependents on parents' plan up to age 26
o Community Rating Rules, except for limited waivers

Limited Waiver Option
The amendment would create an option for states to obtain Limited Waivers from certain federal
standards, in the interest of lowering premium costs and expanding the number of insured persons.
States could seek Limited Waivers for:
• Essential Health Benefits
• Community rating rules, except for the following categories, which are not waivable:
o Gender
o Age (except for reductions of the 5:1 age ratio previously established)
o Health Status (unless the state has established a high risk pool or is participating in a
federal high risk pool)

Limited Waiver Requirements
States must attest that the purpose of their requested waiver is to reduce premium costs, increase the number of persons with healthcare coverage, or advance another benefit to the public interest in the state, including the guarantee of coverage for persons with pre-existing medical conditions. The Secretary shall approve applications within 90 days of determining that an application is complete."

"Donald Trump Threatens to Sabotage Obamacare"
By THE EDITORIAL BOARD APRIL 19, 2017

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/19/opinion/donald-trump-threatens-to-sabotage-obamacare.html?_r=0

Thanks to the media, even the media you don't like, you can learn what tactics Republicans might be willing to use to take away your health care, America.

"Mr. Trump is threatening to kill a program in the A.C.A. that pays health insurers to offer plans with lower deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses to about seven million lower-income and middle-class people. The president thinks that this will get Democrats to negotiate changes to the 2010 health law. This is cruel and incredibly shortsighted. Without these subsidies, health care would be unaffordable for many Americans, including people who voted for Mr. Trump because they were frustrated by high medical costs.

These subsidies lower the cost of medical care for people who earn between 100 percent and 250 percent of the federal poverty level. For a family of four, that income is $24,600 to $61,500 a year. For example, the deductible on qualifying Obamacare policies for families living at the poverty line in Charlotte, N.C., would be $1,000, compared with $10,000 for a standard policy, according to government data. In Philadelphia a similar family would have no deductible, compared with a $5,000 deductible for policies without subsidies. The government is expected to spend $7 billion on subsidies in 2017, and nearly 60 percent of the 12.2 million people who bought Obamacare policies for 2017 benefit from them.

Conservatives have been trying for years to end these subsidies in an effort to destabilize the A.C.A. House Republicans filed a lawsuit in 2014 to prevent the Obama administration from making these payments to insurers without appropriations from Congress. A Federal District Court ruled in the Republicans’ favor, but President Barack Obama appealed the case and the payments have continued — so far, at least. Mr. Trump has to decide how to proceed."

It sickens America to see how he keeps wanting us to believe he did not say what he DID say.

"Trump moves away from ‘Obamacare’ sabotage (for now)"

Ya, of course he moves away until he can find a way to package the sabotage.  Tweety knows Americans will be informed of the sabotage!

"

The New York Times reports, however, that Team Trump is, at least for now, taking one of the most potent options off the table. The Trump administration says it is willing to continue paying subsidies to health insurance companies under the Affordable Care Act even though House Republicans say the payments are illegal because Congress never authorized them.

The statement sends a small but potentially significant signal to insurers, encouraging them to stay in the market.
This stems from a lawsuit GOP lawmakers filed a few years ago, when they were still trying to tear down “Obamacare” through the courts. As longtime readers may recall, the details of the case get a little complicated, but let’s quickly review for those who may need a refresher.

Much of the federal spending associated with the ACA goes to subsidizing insurance, but some of the costs go towards “cost-sharing reductions” to help families with their deductibles and co-payments. The reform law caps how much low-income consumers have to pay for these health expenses, reimbursing part of the costs to the insurance companies."

"On Politics Today: Trump ready to bawitdaba, push health care bill again"

Josh Hafner , USA TODAY Published 7:24 p.m. ET April 20, 2017 | Updated 8:34 p.m. ET April 20, 2017

"Only weeks after Donald Trump's stunning health care defeat, the president seemed optimistic. Trump said on Thursday that he's confident a health care bill will pass eventually amid reports that the White House wants a new vote on the matter as early as next week.
"There was never a give-up," said Trump, who just last month stated that Obamacare would "explode" before he pushed a health care plan again."

Will Tweety and his Congressional gang sabotage the Affordable Care Act by not funding subsidies in new government budget, while asking for ~$26BILLION for a wall for three states on our Mexican border?

Tweety has proven himself as a deceitful liar when it meets his purpose.

"There would be a huge political cost for disrupting the health insurance market. A recent Kaiser poll found that 61 percent of Americans say that Mr. Trump and Republicans in Congress would be responsible for any future problems with the A.C.A. Lawmakers need look no further than recent town hall meetings where voters lashed out at Republicans for trying to take health care away from 24 million people. Referring to the subsidies, Mr. Trump recently told The Wall Street Journal: “Obamacare is dead next month if it doesn’t get that money. I haven’t made my viewpoint clear yet. I don’t want people to get hurt.”"

Does Tweety really care if anyone gets hurt?  It is hard to tell, but somehow I don't think Tweety cares about anybody but himself, maybe his kids a bit, and maybe all hi sycophants in Congress.

It is hard to tell what Tweety really cares about, except money and himself.  Tweety's love of these two things is crystal clear.
