Let's get the Top Ten list of murder motives, i.e., "terror" motives, and ban the people involved, like we are planning to do with immigrants who ever lived in a terror related activities. Murder of any kind, in my mind, is the ultimate in "terror," and it is insane. Killing one is as bad as killing many.

"A lot of people die every day but not all of them are murdered. Murder is when a person kills another for selfish reasons. But what could be those selfish reasons for which someone might kill someone? Jealousy? Greed? Love? Hatred? There have been a lot of discussions over this question and many experts, psychiatrists, and defense department genius people have studies the criminals and came across a lot of reasons for killing someone. There are a lot of answers to this question and the very common reasons are discussed below:

10. Mercy killing – ban people who end suffering and give dignity to dying people
9. Road discipline/traffic accidents – ban drivers, traffic or people who get near traffic
8. Greed – ban people who do not get "fair" inheritance, do not get promotion
7. Anger – ban people having anger when frustrated things are not “right” for them [Trump?]
6. Self-defense – ban people who protect property or prevent significant other hurting us
5. Religion arguments – ban people using words “war,” “soldiers of God,” and those killing for their selected faith [most if not all organized religions? Buddhists are at least one exception, thankfully.]
4. Alcohol and drugs – ban alcohol and drugs, and all people who use these TO EXCESS
3. Revenge – ban people America harmed, i.e., “Middle East”, weak NATIONS; “you get what you give,” with exception of those we helped after we harmed them, e.g., Germany and Japan
2. Money – ban people who want to take our money, or any other “stuff” so we have lots of stuff when we die [can't take it with you folks]
1. Domestic reasons – ban people who love people, they kill when they see loved one with someone else
Bummer! This completes a list where we ban EVERYONE! Anyone can commit murder folks!
I agree with you. This list is silly.
So it is silly to a ban entire groups of people for an incident that we call "terrorism" because at the root, "terrorism" is just another murder.
We cannot eliminate murder or mass killings by using some FBI Profile.
Anyone can be a killer. They are people that one time, even 9 years ago, came from a country like Somalia through five other countries or a country like Saudi Arabia that has terrorist schools, or a country with "tribes" who hate America.
If you read, you can learn many countries and "classes" of people hate America for the same reasons you would hate them. I am sorry if you do not know this, but America is NOT a country of innocents.
You all KNOW, OR NEED TO KNOW AMERICA IS NOT ALWAYS HUMBLE OR KIND. THIS AS FACT.
Iran's "Death to America" is a slogan, not a threat by the way . . . based on American manipulation of their leaders over almost 70 years time starting in 1947, and an oppressive American need to foist Western values on Iran.
The ban on terrorist countries or immigrants WILL NOT STOPP MASS KILLLINGS.
A ban on immigrants from some countries, like Syria, MIGHT stop killings by some immigrants, from Syria, but mass killings come from many sources, and "terrorists" will just move to another country.
Due diligence by everyone and our leaders is our only real defense, not banning people.
Less American interference and policing of other nations, and less moralizing by America which has its own morality issues, will help us BE HUMBLE AND KIND.
Mind our own business and quite trying to mind other countries' business.
And I will say it again, being a humble and kind nation will help a lot!
