I will try to use the Sandwich approach to criticism: good critique, harsh/fair, good, and I will only criticize BEHAVIOR. Up front I will offer to Meghan McCain this advice: take off your blinders.
First, however, let's say Meghan McCain gets a lot right in political analysis as far as I know. I don't do political analysis. I know the law better than political analysis.
"Oath of Office" - Senate
"Upon taking office, senators-elect must swear or affirm that they will "support and defend the Constitution." The president of the Senate or a surrogate administers the oath to newly elected or re-elected senators. The oath is required by the Constitution; the wording is prescribed by law."
https://www.senate.gov/reference/reference_index_subjects/Oath_vrd.htm
"Oath of Office for House and Senate"
"“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3"

So here it is Meg:
On The View Meghan McCain ignores the Oath of Office every Congress person must swear, hand on Bible, to abide by the Constitution of the United States. This is not a pledge to get re-elected, Meghan.
So, when you put on your blinders Meghan, and based on your political analysis you feel the Democrats are wasting time with the impeachment because they hurt their re-election opportunity, THAT IS NOT THE POINT.
MEGHAN, THE HOUSE IMPEACHMENT IS ABOUT UPHOLDING THEIR OATH OF OFFICE, NOT ABOUT GETTING RE-ELECTED.
"‘The View’: In Defense of Meghan McCain"

"Say what you will about Meghan McCain, but there’s no denying that the conservative firebrand has injected new life into The View. Since joining the panel almost two years ago, McCain has turned The View into must-see TV, and she’s helped deliver the show’s best ratings since Barbara Walters’ departure in 2014. As an outspoken anti-Trump conservative, the co-host often finds herself targeted by both sides of the aisle, but it’s possible that some of that criticism is unwarranted."
OK, let's us see what unfolds.
"When it comes to representing the right-of-center perspective, McCain has also defied expectations by establishing herself as a strong conservative — rather than a Republican — voice. It’s no secret that the co-host hates Trump, but she’s also distanced herself from her father’s party on other issues, like LGBTQ+ rights (she’s a vocal advocate) and immigration (she’s against what she describes as “illegal” immigration, but does not support the border wall). "
Sounds good, so is there anything about BEHAVIOR, the silly rants that mask her message and can overshadow her "wisdom?"
". . . despite all this criticism, McCain continues to speak her mind, question her party’s politics, and attempt to explain the root cause of issues plaguing our political system. "
Explain is good, rant is not helpful though.
"In terms of the condescension levied at McCain from the left, some of it is deserved. When the (non-Jewish) co-host cried during a discussion about anti-Semitism and inserted herself into the issue by claiming that Rep. Ilhan Omar’s comments about Israel are “very scary” to her, Jewish cartoonist Eli Valley published a cartoon mocking her remarks. After McCain called the cartoon “one of the most anti-semitic things I’ve ever seen,” she was absolutely roasted on Twitter, and rightly so. “If this is the most anti-Semitic thing you’ve ever seen, you haven’t spent any time examining those issues yourself,” wrote Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig. “If you think that a Jewish cartoonist mocking your fake outrage over Anti-Semitism is Anti-Semitic… boy do I have some things to show you in your husband’s paper,” added writer Tony Posnanski (McCain’s husband is Ben Domenech, co-founder and publisher of right-wing outlet The Federalist)."
Anything on childish behavior? Nope, so I guess we'll leave I at that.
Meghan, your analysis can be great, some opinions screwy, even dumb, but no one wants to hear you rant and whine like a 4yo girl. Meghan, your BEHAVIOR hurts you, buries your message. When you rant, whine, and play the victim, people stop listening, they turn you off, or, worse, the stop watching The View.
Three things:
1. Meghan McCain appears to lack experience, cleverness to adapt to a variety of TV and media platforms. Acting like a one trick pony on The View, she seems to demand attention, and if she doesn't get it, she gets upset, and rants.
2. Meghan McCain has not adapted to fact when she is in a group of opinions being expressed, she musn't assume her conservative view is diminished if others argue against it, or disagree.
3. Meghan McCain takes criticism of her BEHAVIOR as an insult to her opinion. Criticism of BEHAVIOR is intended to be constructive, instructive and help her learn how to deliver her conservative political insight.

While Meghan does not liked to BE disrespected, she has a blind spot to when she disrespects others.
My guess is Megan McCain got to a highly visible level on TV too soon. Her rants on TV on The View are childish. This is about her BEHAVRIOR, not her analysis. She seems to have cogent remarks, advice, pinon often, but she diminishes herself and her credibility when she says dumb, childish things.
It is quite possible to share advice and opinions without talking over people and acting out. We see more mature presentations of political analysis on TV news shows all the time. Meghan needs to watch those presentations and change her style. When she acts like a 4yo no one wants to hear what she has to say. That is what happened on The View the other day when Whoopi told her to stop talking, and, as I said, Meghan whined like a 4yo.
Part of the problem seems to be the "entertainment" element of the show mixed in with Meghan's always too serious commentary. The setting / environment for political analysis on Fox News or MSNBC or CNN is very different than what is expected on The View.
"Whoopi Goldberg tells Meghan McCain to ‘stop talking’ during heated exchange on ‘The View’
By Nina Zafar Reporter and editorial aide for Reliable Source Dec 16, 2019
"Another day, another showdown on “The View.”
Whoopi Goldberg appeared to hit a breaking point with Meghan McCain on Monday’s episode.
The spat began during the aptly named Hot Topics segment at the top of the show. Liberal co-host Joy Behar butted heads with conservative panelists McCain and Abby Huntsman over the comparison between Trump officials refusing to testify in the impeachment hearings and former vice president Joe Biden saying he also wouldn’t go under oath.
Co-host Sunny Hostin pointed out that many of the Republicans who voted to convict Bill Clinton on perjury charges are the same ones willing to acquit President Trump for “clearly wanting to use a foreign government for his own personal benefit to impede our very democracy.”
“That is the height of hypocrisy for this Republican-led Senate,” Hostin said.
McCain responded that her job as a “View” co-host, as well as an ABC News political correspondent, meant that she is on the show not to “litigate the ethics” of impeachment but to analyze the politics of the situation. Before McCain could finish her statement, Hostin interjected, saying that she was not speaking about McCain but about the Republicans in the Senate.
McCain pushed back, telling Hostin to let her finish, but Whoopi Goldberg, typically the voice of reason on the panel, wasn’t having it. As Goldberg tried to change subjects, McCain talked over her, complaining, “Do you want to hear a conservative perspective on this show ever?”
“Girl, please stop talking,” Goldberg responded. “Please stop talking right now.”
McCain, visibly shocked, responded with what some social media users have likened to a temper tantrum. “No problem,” McCain insisted, rolling her eyes. “I won’t talk the rest of the show.”
There you have it, a childish tantrum: "McCain insisted, rolling her eyes. “I won’t talk the rest of the show.”"
Whoopi did what was necessary. It's time for a commercial break and Meghan rants on and on.
"“I’m okay with that,” Goldberg responded, which incited murmurs from the audience. “I’m okay with that. If you are going to behave like this.”"
Then Meghan tries to make it sound like something it was NOT in tweeting later. Whoopi was not silencing the opinion, she was telling Meghan to stop talking.
"McCain appeared to respond to her haters in a pair of tweets Monday afternoon. “Pointing out things that are true is part of my job even if it angers people and even if it’s politically inconvenient,” she wrote in part. “Pretending half the country doesn’t exist won’t make them disappear. The culture war is real.”"
There's a difference, Meghan, between stop talking and stop your opinion. You have to grow up Meghan.
Here are other "views" of your behavior Meghan. Consider it helpful advice. It would be a shame if you said these people are "haters," which would be what I expect you to do when given a critique of your behavior.
"Meghan McCain seems so obnoxious and childish to me. How is it that she keeps her job on the View?"
By several people
There will always be people who criticize you because they do not like you. That criticism is worth ignoring. That sort of criticism is not helpful, or constructive. One cannot build on it.
Here's the problem. Meghan, you switch criticism of your behavior to criticism of your analysis, but they are NOT the same.
I am looking for a "good" to close with. Maybe the above is "good" and "harsh?"
