Preemptive attacks prove USA cannot be trusted.

McMaster and Luttwak do not recognize South Koreans as humans, just as "collateral damage."

H.R. McMaster is stupid if he thinks a small attack on North Korea is a good idea.  He says USA should attack nuclear facilities to see what North Korea would do.  Ha!  Kill South Koreans, of course!

The real nut case is Ed Luttwak.  Luttwak must be a Nazi.  It is South Korea's fault we have to kill them like human shields?

Can you imagine the United States being told we are too vulnerable to our enemies?  Luttwak says we can build air raid shelters, establish an antimissile system to defeat missiles, and then move our population farther way from the enemy.  lol  What idiotic ideas.

Edward Luttwak said, in 2013, South Korea should have built air raid shelters, established an antimissile system to defeat North Korea missiles, and also move their population farther way from the enemy?  All of these ideas are incredibly stupid to start.  Bomb shelters are no way to live life; what do the South Koreans do when they come out of the shelters?  North Korea is just miles away.  They will send soldiers, Ed.  There is no anti-missile system effective enough to save 20,000,000 people from harm.  And, Ed, people do not move their beach front homes or homes in hurricane vulnerable locations, why should South Koreans move FOR YOUR SAFETY.  Why should South Koreans move for YOU?!

Ed, you are a fool!

Ed's logic is that Iraqis, or other innocent civilians living near ISIS, or in a city with ISIS are to blame for being human shields.  It is THEIR FAULT FOR ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BE VULNERABLE.

Ed needs treatment for his unbelievable notion that South Korea should be punished by a USA preemptive attack on North Korea.  It is THEIR FAULT North Korea can kill them?  Wow!  The man needs to be treated for his mental illness immediately.  AND ED SAID IT IN 2013.  Is Ed under a doctor's care today?  Was this a late April fools joke?  Did the Jews in Germany and Poland and France "enable" their own murder because they lived where Hitler's armies could take them away to camps?  How can anyone say the people threatened by death in a war are "ENABLERS?"

"The Enabler"
The only way to stop Pyongyang's cycle of brinkmanship and extortion is to address the real problem -- South Korea.

"Unwilling to deter North Korea [Really!?  In unwilling?  Maybe South Korea wisely  sought a status quo!  Ed, decisions are based on trades and considering unintended consequences, so what might one miss trying to set up the magnificent defenses you describe?  How big an army would it take, and what sort of defense systems would be required?  Ed offers dumb ideas to deter North Korea in spite of the fact the United States fought North Korea to an Armistice.] — which would require a readiness to retaliate for its occasionally bloody attacks and constant provocations, thereby troubling business and roiling the Seoul stock market [Really?  Ed thinks South Korea makes choices about North Korean attacks based on their stock market, or is it more likely they are being realistic?] — South Korea has instead preferred to pay off the regime with periodic injections of fuel and food aid, but most consistently by way of the North-South Kaesong industrial zone, in which some 80,000 North Korean workers are paid relatively good wages by South Korean corporations. The workers themselves receive very little of their salaries, of course, the majority of which gets funneled back to Pyongyang and makes up the North’s largest consistent source of foreign currency. "

Really?  There was a war, Ed, and their is an Armistice, a cessation of fighting.  Why should South Korea get ready for a war with North Korea even the United States could not win?  What is wrong with appeasement for PEACE?  War means death, Ed.  War at ANY TIME means death, Ed.

"And the cycle continues: Because the South allows itself to remain so vulnerable, it cannot react effectively against North Korea’s perpetual threats and periodic attacks. Instead, Seoul checks its bank account and gets ready for the next payoff. "

It’s time for this to end. The United States cannot force the North to give up its bellicosity, but surely it can force the South to renounce its perversity. The price of continued U.S. protection should be the adoption of a serious defense policy, the closure of the Kaesong racket, and a complete end to cash transfers to the North, whatever the excuse. Pyongyang may still try to pick a fight, but at least this will eliminate the incentive to persist in this monstrous extortion strategy."

So, Mr. Ed Luttwak, killing South Koreans in the name of making Americans safe is OK?  Ed, yu are the ultimate ASS HOLE!
