The UN should move to China, and China should welcome the UN with open arms.
It is really a joke that the bully in the White House thinks the UN is hypocritical! Trump is the King of Hypocrisy and "truthful hyperbole" (lies).
I suggest the UN move its headquarters to China! There was once a reason for the UN to be headquartered in the United States, as America led the moral high ground. America is no longer moral, ethical, or honest.
Human Rights are the rights of humans, not what Trump wants or Niki Haley or Mike Pompeo wants.
HYPOCRISY? They do not like hypocrisy? Trump and his employees live in a glass house to throw stones about hypocrisy!
United States participation in the League of Nations, way, way back in 1920 or so, and in the United Nations n 2018 is for the purpose of PEACE. The United States invests in PEACE as a participant in the UN, not for the sake of getting a pat on the back for donations!
Niki Haley does not understand the United Nations and America's historic participation thru time. Period.
"U.S. Announces Its Withdrawal From U.N. Human Rights Council"
by Colin Dwyer June 19, 2018
"After more than a year of complaints and warnings — some subtle and others a little less so — the Trump administration has announced that the United States is withdrawing from the United Nations Human Rights Council. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley announced the decision in a joint statement Tuesday.
"I want to make it crystal clear that this step is not a retreat from human rights commitments," Haley told the media. "On the contrary, we take this step because our commitment does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organization that makes a mockery of human rights.""
HYPOCRISY? They do not like hypocrisy? Trump and his employees live in a glass house to throw stones about hypocrisy!
Poor babies. The United States, Trump, was criticized by the United Nations, with the UN stating the fact NO OTHER COUNTRY HAS DONE THIS, for taking babies and toddlers from their parents at the border.
What does the US do? We point at someone else's human rights violations. We do not, however, mention North Korean violations do we. Trump has expressed great admiration in fact, for the North Korean leader, stating he's a "tough guy" and has done an amazing job and is loved by his people.
Trump will go on TV 20 June 2018 to say what he will sign for immigration legislation, and he will insist on his wasteful Wall. OK, give him his Wall, and give him $100 billion so it can be a really great Wall. Then let's see how it goes.
""If the Human Rights Council is going to be an organization we entrust to protect and promote human rights, it must change," she said. "If it fails to change, then we must pursue the advancement of human rights outside of the council.""
Sure, the US will pursue the advancement of human rights - THAT IS LAUGHABLE!
Like the bully who brings his ball to the game, Tweety heads home, withdraws, and claims he has been the victim. What a joke of a human being.
"Several U.S. critics, in condemning the decision Tuesday, echoed precisely this desire for reform as a principal reason to stay in the council, not leave it.
"The UN Human Rights Council has always been a problem. Instead of focusing on real human-rights issues, the council has used its time and resources to bully Israel and question Israel's legitimacy as a sovereign state," Rep. Eliot Engel, the ranking Democratic member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, said in a statement Tuesday. "But the way to deal with this challenge is to remain engaged and work with partners to push for change."
Wrong choices will take time to show how much damage is done, but I suspect Tweety's many, many wrong choices will hurt America immensely in the nest 3-4 years.
