The GOP is a lost cause, comprised of mostly men with no souls or conscience, and women who animate a "battered wives syndrome" thought process supporting these sick, sad, ugly men.
These people are unaware of how utterly sadistic their thinking and actions are.
Time to change the party. There is no way to address Republican support for Moore AND Donald Trump with 15 women accusers saying Trump did various UNWANTED things to them of a sexual nature.
Zero Tolerance for abuse of power, sex molestation/harassment applies to everyone except the GOP people.
"The Party of Unapologetic Misogyny"
The GOP's response to sexual harassment lays bare its focus on white male power
By Jill Filipovic, Opinion Contributor | Dec. 8, 2017
"What a pathetic state we are in, when one of our country's two major parties can't even agree that sexual assault and harassment are serious enough to merit consequences – at least when the person accused is a Republican. "
More.
"So far, several Democrats have paid a serious price for sexual harassment, in large part because there are more female Democrats in office, and because the party itself is more responsive to its feminist base. Al Franken and Jon Conyers resigned. Democrats returned donations from Harvey Weinstein. In the meantime, a man who was recorded bragging about grabbing women's genitals sits in the Oval Office. He just endorsed a guy accused of prowling the mall for teenage girls when he was in his 30s, and engaging in sexual contact with some of them. Texas Rep. Blake Farenhold used taxpayer money to settle a sexual harassment claim, and then allegedly blackballed the woman who accused him.
So much for fiscal conservatism, morality or family values."
"What Happened to the 19 Women Who Accused Trump of Sexual Misconduct"
By Margaret Hartmann 12 Dec 2017
"This post was originally published in November 2017. It has been updated with additional harassment claims and public statements from Trump’s accusers.
As new sexual-harassment accusations — sometimes several per day — pour out in the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, there’s one person whose alleged sexual misconduct seems simultaneously ever-present, and yet grossly overlooked."
Guess who?! Nineteen (19) women accuse Tweety of sexual harassment! Nineteen!
"Sorry. There’s no equivalence between Republicans and Democrats on sexual harassment."
By Paul Waldman The Plum Line Opinion November 17, 2017
" . . . we should all be asking ourselves some very hard questions, not only about the people now in positions of power but about how we’ve each thought about these issues in the past and what we want to change in the future. Democrats are doing that — perhaps imperfectly and arriving at different answers of varying quality, but at least they’re grappling with it. Republicans, by and large, are doing anything but."
I agree the Dems are NOT doing a perfect job dealing with sexual harassment. In fact, I think the Dems are losing the fight with respect to sexual harassment because they are trying too hard to be pure, when confession and DUE PROCESS WOULD BE MUCH BETTER!
Dumping on Al Franken will haunt the Dems!
Of course the biggest failure of the Republicans is to allow Tweety to get away with his sexual predation.
". . . conservatives (or anyone else for that matter), if your argument that Democrats are being as bad on Franken as Republicans were on accusations against Donald Trump (more on him in a moment) rests on a tweet you saw where @NobodyTroll insulted Leeann Tweeden to his 12 followers, spare me. This is about the reactions of people with significant voices in the public sphere — politicians, writers, media personalities — the ones who have the ability to influence how others understand the issue."
Republicans also gave support to Moore in the end game for the election saying let the voters decide. THAT tact was clear support for electing a pedophile!
"There’s something else Democrats are doing that Republicans adamantly resist: looking backward to reflect on whether they were wrong about issues of harassment in the past. There’s now a lively debate happening on the left about how to understand former president Bill Clinton, and whether they defended him in the right way."
Republican leaders are "PIMPING" for Tweety, always disingenuous in avoiding asking him to drop out of the campaign, and, now, not asking him to resign. Even some Republican Senators have resigned for their sexual predation habits and behavior.
"Perhaps my memory is faulty, but as I recall, while many Republicans condemned Trump’s words on the Access Hollywood tape, few treated them as anything but words. “Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified,” said House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.). “I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests.” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Trump needed to “take full responsibility for the utter lack of respect for women shown in his comments on that tape.” The idea that Trump just needed to demonstrate more respect implicitly accepted his claim that it was nothing more than “locker room talk,” randy boastfulness that didn’t actually reflect his own actions."
