Why is a person's private life, their SEX life, a topic of anyone's opinion.
Why is a person's private life, ESPECIALLY their SEX life, a topic of anyone's opinion.
See cartoon of hypocrite conservatives who talk a strange ideology.
I had cartoon showing "bible thumping" where pseudo "Christians" are beating a gay person to bloody pulp IN GOD'S NAME! NOT CHRISTIAN!
The point of the cartoon, with conservatives talking out of both sides of there ideology . . . cynical and sad that ANYONE, religious or government, find ti necessary to say anything about a person's sex preference.
Why is a person's private life, their SEX life, a topic of anyone's opinion.
It is incredible any government needs to pass a law about people's sex life is absurd.
It is very basic Kids Health. We do not choose.
"Being straight, gay, or bisexual is not something that a person can choose or choose to change. In fact, people don't choose their sexual orientation any more than they choose their height or eye color. It is estimated that about 10% of people are gay. Gay people are represented in all walks of life, across all nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, and in all social and economic groups.
No one fully understands exactly what determines a person's sexual orientation, but it is likely explained by a variety of biological and genetic factors. Medical experts and organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Psychological Association (APA) view sexual orientation as part of someone's nature. Being gay is also not considered a mental disorder or abnormality."

Do not bring me your bible to show what God or Jesus or some other deity says about gays. The bible you use was written by a man, usually, perhaps occasionally a woman. None of them have a right or special gift to judge gays.
Adults teach "Billy" to hate and bully in the name of God. STOP TEACHING HATE! HATE IS NOT RIGHT!
"Do We Choose Our Sexual Preferences"
http://www.psychologyhelp.com/sexu156.htm
Religion gives us all a right to love and care for our brothers and sisters notwithstanding sexual preferences. People do not CHOOSE to be gay, they are simply gay.
YOU CHOOSE TO HATE, HOWEVER. THAT CHOICE CAN BE CHANGED. SEXUALITY IS NOT A CHOICE WE MAKE. HEERO_ and HOMOSEXUALITY ARE NOT CHOICES.
STOP believing the myth of choices when talking about one's sexual preference.
"Is Sexual Orientation a Choice"
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/is-sexual-orientation-a-choice-9582897.html
While it is surely true we can choose to have sex with someone of the same sex, true, real sexual attraction is not something we determine for ourselves. I am heterosexual, but can choose to have sex with a man. But I am not normally, overwhelmingly, strongly attracted to have sex with a man. I grw up loving women. PERIOD.
Some people like to argue the choice of sexuality.
""Is Sexual Orientation a Choice"
Lesbian activist Julie Bindel argues in her new book ‘Straight Expectations’ that sexual orientation is not innate. The gay writer Patrick Strudwick disagrees
Patrick Strudwick 3 July 2014
"Julie Bindel, 52, journalist, campaigner and searing pain in the patriarchy’s arse, has resurrected the controversy about the causes of homosexuality in the most contentious chapter of her new book, Straight Expectations.
It is contentious – a hand grenade, really – because in it she asserts, like an Old Testament maven from Tennessee, that being gay is a “choice”, it is not innate and no one is, in Lady Gaga’s words, “Born This Way”. Middle-fingering the prevailing liberal orthodoxy, she claims to have “made a conscious and happy choice to be a lesbian” more than 30 years ago because she had “better taste than other young women”. Pow!"
Julie can argue she was not gay, but chose to be lesbian. BUT how does the feel with a woman versus a man? What is the key element ion sexual preference? I think LOVE is the key element in sexual attraction.
"Most gay people disagree with her, wildly, including me, believing that homosexuality – like heterosexuality or left-handedness – chooses; it is not chosen. Aside from the very obvious reason – why opt for oppression? – sexual arousal, governed by the unconscious, non-cognitive, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, is nothing to do with the part of the brain responsible for decision-making – the lateral frontal pole. Thus, there is no à la carte for orientation. I did not order the coq au vin.
And so, as Bindel plumps down on to the distressed couch in her living room in north London, holding a cushion protectively in front of her, the first obvious question arises: when exactly did she choose to be attracted to women?
“I didn’t,” she says, rather confusingly given the statements in her book."
Oops! I am confused now. Let's jump to the conclusion of this article: Bindel writes what she feels and thinks notwithstanding the medical and psychological facts. People like here so she makes a living on false ideas of choosing sexuality. So be it.
"Several studies have shown that women, regardless of their orientation, respond to erotic images of both sexes – unlike men, who respond according to their orientation.
Does she refute these findings that suggest greater fluidity among women, which might then explain why some feel they “chose” lesbianism?
“It sounds biological essentialist to me. It’s yet again another separation of male and female responses, to show that women are somehow different.”
It seems when science lacks, as with finding an organic cause for homosexuality, Bindel jumps on it, but when science does present evidence, she pooh-poohs it."
VP Pence is stupid about sexual preferences. Roy Moore and Evangelicals are stupid about choosing sexuality and being gay.
The idea that we choose our sexuality is incredibly dumb! The notion we have any say in choosing our sexual attraction to a person is foolish, ignorant, just plain stupid, AND A LIE!
Religions have no right to "reprogram" gays, beat people into sexual preference YOU prefer, to justify hate with your religion, or to, OVIOUSLY, murder gays because you fear them.
You have no right to take away civil rights of gay people.
The simple message of Christianity comes from the Sermon on the Mount for my spiritual life. Bottom line: only do to others what you are willing to have them do to you. So, obviously, do NOT judge people. Every person's sexual preference is their private business, just as every untold matter of a person's life.
Edith Windsor died Sept 12, 2017. Her case led the Supreme Court to do what our Executive and Legislative branches of government, AND our churches (religions) failed to do. The Supreme Court granted equal rights to gay people to marry.
