A war correspondent's book perfectly explains why some Trump supporters welcome violence

""If she's in office" — Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton — "I hope we can start a coup. She should be in prison or shot. That's how I feel about it," Dan Bowman, a 50-year-old contractor, told reporters from The Boston Globe. "We're going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that's what it takes. There's going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that's what it's going to take. ... I would do whatever I can for my country.""
"And if you read war correspondent Sebastian Junger's recent book "Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging," it also makes perfect sense.
Junger's book is a short examination of how war creates a sense of altruism in modern societies that have moved away from a traditional sense of community and solidarity, instead alienating the individual from the collective. In turning Clinton into an evil enemy — not just a political opponent — Trump has taken a group of people who felt disconnected from society and given them a cause and an identity."
Donald Trump condoned and essentially allowed this kind of thinking to continue because he NEVER said a word against these horrible ideas. Donald J. Trump made violence a THEME of his campaign.
"With a President Trump, an emphasis on 'law and order'"
Kevin Johnson , USA TODAY 6:05 p.m. EST November 9, 2016
"The Republican billionaire’s oft-repeated “law and order’’ refrain, some analysts suggest, harkens back to the punitive era of the 1990s, one that federal, state and local authorities have been attempting to unravel by supporting more proportional punishment to offenders while reducing costly prison populations.
At the Justice Department, Trump’s strong support for law enforcement also would likely signal a departure from an aggressive posture taken by the department's Civil Rights Division to investigate police misconduct and seek institutional changes in American law enforcement.
"It remains to be seen what policies he chooses to support, but the rhetoric has been fairly unhelpful,'' said Inimai Chettiar, Justice Program director at the non-partisan Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law.
Chettiar said that Trump has not articulated a criminal justice plan, other than dark references during the campaign to rampant violent crime in U.S. inner cities, where he has called for a return of racially charged stop-and-frisk practices. The tactic, which allows police to detain and search people on the basis of reasonable suspicion of criminal activity, was found to be unconstitutional as applied in New York City."
LAW AND ORDER? Racial profiling stop and frisk?
Look how well that works in Palestine, sir. Young Palestinians go thru "stop and frisk" every day. They are rebelling and getting killed. That is not a solution. Is that your wish, killing those who resist racial profiling?
Sir, it is up to you. "Crush the rebellion" ala Lenin?
Was Lenin good guy? Some people, maybe Bannon, think his murder of over 10,000,000 was justified. Maybe Trump thinks we need 10,000,000 dead Americans to Make America Great Again?
"Was Vladimir Lenin a good leader?"
A debate.
For:
"I think Lenin was a very good leader. I believe that Lenin was indeed a good leader because of the way he controlled his people and ran the country. While many think Lenin was brutal and paranoid in appointing the Cheka and having them execute so many Russians; I think it is fairly justified"
There's more "For", but this one sums it up. Lenin's crimes against his people were justified.
Against:
"Lenin was a bad guy
"This man who, had basically everyone who opposed him killed, who had ordered the murder of Tsar Nicholas and his family, who started a civil war because most disagreed with the Bolshevik party, who abolished all political parties, and who was practically Robespierre is considered good? Doesn't sound right to me. Not even to mention the destruction of Russia's economic system which was replaced by socialism, which disallows private property. He fell back on to capitalism, and don't forget who he put in line to come after him: Stalin."

"Just like in any revolution, there will be deaths. In all reality, Vladimir Lenin was one of the best and most important leaders that existed in the 20th century. The things that he did and enforced were much before his time. He liberated homosexuals, no-fault divorce, and gave women equal rights which was unheard of by any other country in the early 1900's. I am not a Marxist because ultimately I believe it fails, unfortunately, but I would have lived in Lenin's Russia over Truman's America any day. He was the icon of ultimate freedom of the people, and he followed Marxism as it was supposed to be manifested. Joseph Stalin assumed control of the Soviet Union in 1922 against the will of a short-lived Lenin, and Lenin never trusted Stalin when he was alive. Stalin destroyed any potential for Marxism to prosper as he became paranoid and greedy. He also enslaved and killed many of his own people and changed the structure of Marxism to what is now know as Stalinism. With that said, the original idea of Marxism under Lenin would have worked, spread, and become the ultimate freedom of the people. Vladimir Lenin was a great man of integrity and loyalty among his people. A good man, and one of the most important of the 20th century,"
Oh, by the way, Truman ended WWII . . . and America entered its most prosperous times EVER.

"As Trump’s hateful rhetoric has increased, so have violent, often racist or xenophobic attacks against people at his campaign events. Some Trump supporters have even taken to using the real estate mogul’s name as a racist taunt."

Dear President-elect Donald Trump.
America needs you to be mature and courageous to step up to the violence you condoned during your political campaign.
Yes, I know you are not the bad person that committed the violence. Yes, I know you will say it is not your fault. Yes, I know others elements contribute to the violence. I could go one and on listing all the possible excuses. I won't. You need to act now. YOU are the President-elect, NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS. NO ONE ELSE CAN MANAGE THE VIOLENCE.
Are you Lenin, or are you Donald J. Trump? We lnow Bannon admires, at least, Lenin. Are you what Steve Bannon tells you to be, or are you Donald J. Trump? Do you want America to have ANY CHANCE of being greater?
President Obama did not inspire the violence in his Presidential campaigns. Obama served 8 years without a civil war. We may not be on the brink of a civil war due to your toxic campaign style. A civil war will destroy America.
Hillary Clinton did not condone violence in her campaign. Bernie Sanders did not promote violence in his campaign.
Your campaign inspired violence. Your campaign was the most toxic campaign in modern history. You KNOW you were toxic and you revel in it. OK, now you need to manage what you have unleashed.
Now you are the ONLY on who has any hope of stemming that violence.
Sincerely,
ALL 320,000,000 Citizens of the United States of America
