Granted America needed a change to make the Government listen to the people. Now we have that change with Donald Trump being elected. So let's get it right Donald.
Drain the swamp - do not put in the same swamp dwellers that were in the swamp to start with! Juiliani, Christy, Gingrich are all swamp inhabitants.
A President's Cabinet needs all our best and brightest minds. No swamp dwellers.
Even before the election, The Atlantic saw a need to talk about healing.
A very simple view of the protests wonders why people are protesting the electionof Donald Trump to the Presidency. YET!, if Hillary Clinton had won, we were guaranteed by Trump's base that their would be AT LEAST protest marches, if not a full scale WAR / REVOLUTION WITH GUNS INVOLVED. Remember Trump saying that if he lost the election was rigged?
The election is over now, so America needs to come together to support our president elect. President Obama said what we all know. As our President succeeds, so does America. We all benefit from a successful President.
Basically, the Atlantic article says we need to be able to exchange our views without fighting.
"Americans Don't Need Reconciliation—They Need to Get Better at Arguing"
"A rush to reunion can entrench injustice. Instead of papering over differences, Americans need to be smarter about engaging them."

"Whatever the outcome on Election Day, more than 40 percent of American voters will feel despondent, disgusted, and betrayed. Which is why all across the country there are citizen-led efforts underway to heal the divides created by the presidential election, to repair the social fabric, to restore trust and civility.
I’m all for this work—in principle. Civility is better than incivility. Love is better than hate. Done wrong, however, this work could compound our political problems. So before Americans embark on a lot of bridge-building it behooves us to ask just where we’re trying to go."
Donald Trump's first 100 days plan looks very reasonable, so he needs to explain it and tell the Americans who are afraid, that they do not need to be afraid.
To heal a wounded America, NO REVENGE, NO SNIPPY TWEETS, Donald Trump needs to consolidate his power and make all of America his "base." America has more choices in our free speech spectrum that "PC" (Politically Correct) or, you read it here first, "AA" (Absolutely Antagonistic). Being too polite and stupid. and hateful cannot be the two choices. There is candid, honest, mature speech, right?
Dear President-elect Trump, please act now to:
1. is CREATE A CABINET THE WHOLE COUNTRY TRUSTS, which may mean a couple compromises that are from across the "aisle" or at least "down the road a bit;" please, please, please NO CONSPIRACY THEORISTs / PARANOIDs in leadership positions because they create more issues than they will ever solve, I guarantee you (you cannot disprove a negative, which is what most conspiracy theories require to disprove the conspiracy), and
2. conduct a NATIONAL SUMMIT using TV connects in key cities like when the Pope came to America; consider locations including the protesting cities and others across the nation.
Donald Trump. you need to act now!

Utah has the summit idea. Good for Utah!
"Postelection summit aims to bring Utahns, Americans together"
By Marjorie Cortez | Posted Nov 9th, 2016 @ 7:09am
"John T. Kesler, founder and president of the Salt Lake Civil Network, acknowledges that many Utahns, at a minimum, are experiencing fatigue if not depression over the divisive presidential campaign. Where some see angst, Kesler sees opportunity.
"It's almost a unique moment in time. Things are so bad that people are willing to start coming together and say, 'Look, in our American heritage, our principles and in the goodwill we have in our local communities, let's model something and send a message to our national leaders that there's a different way to do things,'" he said."
Why have Summit? Why does this election require a summit to get America to pull together?

"A sizeable portion of the country voted for the candidate who didn't become president. Tens of thousands of Americans took to the streets the night after the election, chanting that the man who was elected was "not my president."
"President-elect Donald Trump said in his victory speech that "it's time for America to bind the wounds of division." His Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, said in her concession speech that "it's time for us to come together."
"We all go forward with a presumption of good faith in our fellow citizens," President Barack Obama told Americans on Wednesday. "That's how this country has moved forward for 240 years."
These words from these leaders were intended to move America forward, and a peaceful transition of power for a productive America. BUT the extreme toxicity of the Presidential campaign, the demagoguery using hate and anger, the misogyny, the racism, and the pure ugliness of it, make it hard to switch off the fear and distrust. People who did not vote for Hillary Clinton are afraid and do not trust the President elect.
What should Donald Trump do? #1 it to not criticize protestors, #2 do not create an "enemy of the people" Cabinet, and #3 hold a National Town Hall meeting to talk to the nation.
Donald Trump please address the protestors in an understanding, with a fatherly perspective to help the "protestors," 99% of which are NOT "professionals." 99.9% are just frightened people. Say what you need to say to calm the Americans as soon as you possibly can.
Please do not delegate the job of bringing America together to any church or religious order. This is YOUR JOB and ONLY YOU CAN DO IT.
DO NOT WAIT FOR THE INAUGURATION.
"Khizr Khan Calls on Donald Trump to Unite Americans After Election"
by Jillian Sederholm
"Khan blamed continued protests across America on Trump making no attempt to help unite the country in the days since the election."
I want to remind Mr. Trump that you have not gotten the majority of popular vote," Khan said. "These folks are scared because of his statements and his policies, and he has not extended a hand of courtesy ... or affection.""
"
Khan said he is on a mission to help the nation move forward and heal, even if it takes giving Trump civics lessons himself."He may have won the electoral college, but he must win the respect of everyone. And respect is not given by demand. Respect is earned."
Khan warned that protests may only expand and get more difficult to detail if Trump remains silent.
"It has been three days and we have not heard anything of reconciliation, anything of leading all of America forward."
