This is a man who seems willing to put women in the workplace in a burka, so he cannot see their lipstick. Lipstick creates tension in the workplace. lol! Foolish man, or should I say charlatan.
The thing Peterson is talking against is "Male Privilege" like it did not exist. Peterson contradicts himself and his knowing that women are abused worldwide. He thinks women want to be more than equal, but the truth is that women can expect to be treated differently than men, like they cannot measure up because they have periods each month, and get pregnant, and raise children. Peterson knows women SHOULD BE TREATED AS AN EQUAL, such as while at at work, in a classroom, being assessed in any gender neutral activities, but he argues it is disruptive! Peterson knows women should be able to NOT BE SUBJECTED TO MISOGYNY, but he preaches a different subversive message that harms women's rights!
Whoring his intellectual gift, and his professional stature, Jordan Peterson sells out with ill-advised logic that is much more hurtful in the long run, than helpful to the men and boys he claims to be helping in the short run.
Many men are irrational already without Jordan Peterson giving them more reasons to be stupid. Many men think with their dicks, and I think Jordan Peterson is one of them, or at least he reasons like he thinks with his dick. He may be joking, manipulating his audience for fame and fortune.
Jordan Peterson draws young men to him because he gives them excuses, actually a pass, for failing to be "grown up." Then Jordan gives the boys 12 simple rules to "grow up."
This is pre-packaged FLUFF, BULL SHIT, not unlike INFO WARS Alex Jones. It is my hope Jordan Peterson is quickly debunked, but I admit his spiel, his "snake oil," is clever, and many will be fooled by it, at least for a time. I dearly hope he does no harm to any effort to give women a fair shake to being seen as equal human beings in any and every society, but at least in America without Jordan's pseudo-intelligent-speak to garble the truth and the facts.
Jordan is inviting men and boys to fix themselves as he serves them with another self-help guru with a book and lots of lecture ("performances"). Jordan's notion of fixing yourself is from the '60s and '70s.
I read a lot of self-help books in my college years and early work years 1969 to 1977 or so. The best self-help book ever written is by Viktor Frankl, "Man’s Search for Meaning." Jordan does not hold a candle to the light Viktor provided to men and boys and women and girls. Happily, Viktor was inclusive in his book, and did not work at the current "culture war" narrative Jordan is appealing to.
Jordan's ideas are simple culture war fodder. That's how I see his works.
"University of Toronto Prof Jordan Peterson’s Dangerous Views On Why Men Assault Women
Peterson, who has become a conservative hero, provided an archaic explanation for why men like Louis C.K. sexually harass and assault women.

Truly aware and intelligent men know women have been oppressed and are still the most endangered throughout history. What is this quack Jordan Peterson thinking he can get away with? Is this his "truthful rhetoric" way to make money?
"Jordan Peterson Questions If Men and Women Can Work Together"
Is society ready to tackle sexual harassment in the workplace effectively?
By Miranda Maples, University of Tennessee 22 March 2018
https://studybreaks.com/news-politics/jordan-peterson-2/
Jordan presumes adults cannot hold back their libido enough to work together. The guy is silly. He craves attention, clearly. Here is his idiocy on display"
"When pressed about his belief that sexual harassment won’t end in the near future, Peterson points out that no one knows what the rules are. He proposes that a change could start with one rule: How about no makeup in the workplace? Why do women wear makeup?
Lipstick turns your lips red, which is what happens during sexual arousal. He goes on to ask why women wear high heels. He points out that high heels force the pelvis to tilt forward and accentuate the hip movement.
Peterson states that women who wear makeup and high heels at work are not asking to be harassed, but he does point out that people display hypocrisy when they apply these sexual signals."
Jordan himself, by his statement, sounds childlike, immature, and intentionally provocative. Common sense says a man and a boy need to check their sex drive at the door, period. Jordan is really playing with u here, so we really should ignore him.
In my view, Jordan tricks the authors into looking for some smart meaning in the dumb comment. After all, the man is smart, right, and so we have to find what he means in ourselves any way we can. It had to be a struggle to find the "smart" in otherwise dumb comments like the lipstick observation, to find some clever point in Jordan's otherwise idiotic observation. The did it.
"In reality, Peterson was making a wider point when he used the makeup and high heels examples. He indicates that we act in accordance with our own nature, and amounts of tension between men and women will always exist. At the end of the day, society will only make the issue at hand worse if it attempts to criminalize trivial social mistakes and equate unwanted communication with criminal sexual harassment.
Jordan Peterson is actually engaging in a thought process here. Perhaps his examples are a bit clumsy, but he is forcing people to start thinking about how we view sexuality and how we view ourselves. By presenting these examples, he forces people to really engage in critical thinking before implementing policies that could be detrimental in the long run."
Jordan wins! If we criminalize trivial social mistakes we will make men and women go to war!
The truth is we have a ways to go to get the rules right, but there is no reason to stop trying to get the rules right just because Jordan thinks we should stop trying to get the rues of sexism, misogyny, molestation, abuse, assault, and harassment right.
Jordan, in his way, is saying our society is not smart enough to get the rules right. He's wrong. WRONG! So the article's authors conclude well, giving Jordan a pass in my opinion by allowing his to say we can make rules that are effective, but it's in terms of being a "grown up." Is that maturity? Is that the ability to respect other humans? "Grown ups" can be pretty bad people.
"Peterson would likely tell us that we can start to figure out the answers to these questions by starting with this: be a grown up. Both men and women will receive unwanted attention in the workplace. That said, basic workplace guidelines that deem certain behaviors as inappropriate are absolutely necessary.
Employees should have every right to report unwanted advances from a coworker. But, it is important to remember that this is a crucial moment in our society, and people must think through further implementation of more strict policies very carefully. "
"Jordan Peterson Talks Gun Control, Angry Men and Why So Few Women Lead Companies"

The good . . .
"Do you think it’s the responsibility of people at the top of the power totem pole to share benefits with those at the bottom? There’s no doubt that inequality destabilizes societies. I think the social science evidence on that front is crystal clear. The correlation between inequality and male homicide rates is absolutely staggering. The answer to the problem of inequality is for the people who are fortunate enough to either have been gifted or deserved more to do everything they can to make the communities around them as strong as they possibly can."
The confused . . . what is he saying?
"Is it the same with power? If you are in the group that has the easiest access to opportunity or power, does it not behoove you to lift up those who are more oppressed? I don’t think we should shoot for equality of outcome at all. I think that would be an absolute catastrophe. There’s no evidence whatsoever that any attempt to ever do that has worked. You think we should all listen to the same music and eat the same food and go to the same plays and what, share the same partners. [No one said exact, precise equality, and when is it the power does not corrupt the powerful?]
When you seek to represent the oppressed, don’t you end up representing a lot of people who are in some kind of gender or ethnic minority? In the 1970s when the French intellectuals in particular were forced to abandon their Marxism because of its obvious catastrophic murderousness, they played sleight of hand and transformed Marxism into identity politics. I don’t think it has anything to do with genuine concern for the well being of the oppressed." [Is he saying women and ethnics are being tricked somehow, or what?]
And . . . the BAD! He claims LGBTQ is dominated by radicals, empirical facts. Are you kidding? How can he say those speaking loudly dominate?
"The LGBT movement is very well organized and had a tremendous amount of political and sociological success in the last three decades. But now it’s an activist bureaucracy with nowhere left to go. It’s not going to just voluntarily dismantle itself. So now humanities departments at universities have become part of that activist bureaucracy. They have become completely dominated by radical leftists. That’s just a reflection of the empirical facts. It’s not something I’m inventing."
More likely this community feels necessary to speak and do POWER TO POWER which you do not like because it puts you in the hot seat, and takes money out of your pocket. Jordan is truly a nutcase running rampant over male egos, one of which is HIS EGO.
"Why do you say in the book that “most men do not meet female human standards”? The evidence for that is pretty clear. Women have every reason to be as picky as they possibly can be, because they bear the brunt of the catastrophe of childrearing.
Do you worry that to phrase it as you do, and also to say that “women will not date guys who are their friends,” seems to promote an antipathy between the genders? There is an antipathy between the genders. Their interests are not identical. Look what’s happening in our culture. The whole last three months have been consumed by the #MeToo scandal. Our interests aren’t identical at the biological level. Or even at the practical level."
So Jordan says it is a small number of men doing the damage, so . . . now what? Tell th emen to be more aggressive?
"So what do you think of the #MeToo Movement? I think that the treatment of women at the hands of some men is reprehensible. That’s what a small percentage of very dangerous men are like. That should be stopped. But then you have a believe-the-victim strategy, which is associated with dangers like violation of the presumption of innocence. It’s more deeply reflective of a bigger problem in society, which is that the birth-control pill has enabled women to compete with men on a fairly equal footing. But we still don’t know what the rules are that should govern the behavior, the interaction between men and women in places like the workplace.
Does the huge number of women who report some kind of sexual assault or harassment suggest that it’s more than just a couple of bad actors? That it is a systemic problem? Well it depends on how you define sexual assault or sexual harassment. The question is: Where do you place the boundaries for defining that phenomena? And if it’s — let’s call it unwanted penetrative sex, then no, I think it’s a very small minority of men who are doing most of the damage."
Really? A small number of men doing the damage, a VERY small number? And it's about penetrative sex, not assault or molesting? It is about intercourse? Despite knowing, I think he said he knew, I know I read he said he knew this, women lead the society in some societies, working more than men, he says this:
It's very odd logic, he means to say men should be doing more in a male oriented society, so why aren't they? Jordan thinks men do not excel more BECAUSE OF WOMEN!
My conclusion is that Jordan is a smart CLOWN, willing to twist and turn facts the strangest way to get to a new conclusion, but it is one that further demeans women and puts them in danger of more abuse and molestation.
"Is Jordan Peterson the stupid man’s smart person?"
Tabatha Southey delves into University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson’s work and finds his secret sauce—and what makes his work unnerving
by Tabatha Southey Nov 17, 2017

This guy is a wide-eyed fake intellectual, pseudo smart inventing phrases like "white ethnostate." This white man is purposely dumb trying to seem smart with big words and sacrcasm nd a gimmick about boys!
"Jordan Peterson is not a neo-Nazi, but there’s a reason he’s as popular as he is on the alt-right. You’ll never hear him use the phrase “We must secure a future for our white children”; what you will hear him say is that, while there does appear to be a causal relationship between empowering women and economic growth, we have to consider whether this is good for society, [Are any of you buying this huckster's crap! Yes, I know a lot of what he calls "soft" boys are buying it. Too bad. They are what he calls "lost boys." This is pure BS!] “‘’cause the birth rate is plummeting.” [Not in America - it is lower, but so what? Is Jordan worried abut Canadian social security?] He doesn’t call for a “white ethnostate,” but he does retweet Daily Caller articles with opening lines like: “Yet again an American city is being torn apart by black rioters.” He has dedicated two-and-a-half-hour-long YouTube videos to “identity politics and the Marxist lie of white privilege.”"
Marxist lie of white privilege? Marx never saw what today is White Privilege! Basic common sense explains White Privilege and this man wants to deny common sense and the fear of black people. He's too white to say there is no White Privilege.
"Jordan Peterson, the obscure Canadian psychologist turned right-wing celebrity, explained"
Who Peterson is, and the important truths he reveals about our current political moment.
By Zack Beauchamp Up May 21, 2018

"
Jordan Peterson is a psychology professor at the University of Toronto, a widely cited scholar of personality, and the author of what’s currently the No. 1 best-selling nonfiction book on Amazon in the United States. The New York Times’s David Brooks, echoing George Mason University economist Tyler Cowen, calls him “the most influential public intellectual in the Western world right now.”
Jordan Peterson is also a right-wing internet celebrity who has claimed that feminists have “an unconscious wish for brutal male domination,” [Wow! Women are more abused than anything in this planet, and if they have an unconscious desire to dominate men, then they have earned it! Damn folks, Jordan belongs in a hospital, quick get him some tranquilizers!] referred to developing nations as “pits of catastrophe” in a speech to a Dutch far-right group, and recently told a Times reporter that he supported “enforced monogamy.”"
Come on man, this guy is a looney! The people who think this guy has something worth buying are not getting what they pay for because his crap is crap. Jordan is feeding hate, PERIOD.
"Jordan Peterson is tailor-made to our political moment. His reactionary politics and talents as a public speaker combine to be a perfect fit for YouTube and the right-wing media, where videos of conservatives “destroying” weak-minded liberals routinely go viral. Peterson’s denunciations of identity politics and political correctness are standard-issue conservative, but his academic credentials make his pronouncements feel much more authoritative than your replacement-level Fox News commentator."
A I said, Jordan is a huckster, a snake oil salesman disguised as someone you should respect, a man who has found a "base" for his banal BS!
"“I shouldn’t say this, but I’m going to, because it’s just so goddamn funny I can’t help but say it: I’ve figured out how to monetize social justice warriors,” Peterson told the podcast host Joe Rogan. “If they let me speak, then I get to speak, and then I make more money on Patreon ... if they protest me, then that goes up on YouTube, and my Patreon account goes WAY up.”"
Jordan making money by feeding a fool's ideas to fools. lol!
"“Last night, I was at this talk I gave. And about a thousand people came, and about 500 of them stayed afterward. And most of them are young men,” Peterson says, starting to tear up. “And one of them after another comes up and shakes my hand and says, ‘I’ve been listening to what you’ve been saying ... I started cleaning up my room, and working on my life, and I’ve started working hard on myself, and I just want to thank you for helping me.”
When you watch this interview, you get a sense of what Peterson must have been like with his patients as a clinical psychologist — empathetic, passionate, deeply concerned with the welfare of his patients. It’s moving, really.
But Peterson has inextricably intertwined his self-help approach with a kind of reactionary politics that validates white, straight, and cisgender men at the expense of everyone else. He gives them a sense of purpose by, in part, tearing other people down — by insisting that the world can and should revolve around them and their problems.
This painful contrast is on display later in that very interview, in which he explicitly argues that concern for sexism is to blame for the plight of the West’s young men.
“We’re so stupid. We’re alienating young men. We’re telling them that they’re patriarchal oppressors and denizens of rape culture,” he says. “It’s awful. It’s so destructive. It’s so unnecessary. And it’s so sad.”
The empathy that he displays for men and boys in his BBC interview and 12 Rules for Life is touching. The problem is that he can’t seem to extend it to anyone else."
The problem is Jordan is peddling mean-spirited crap that that enables men and boys to further mistreat and abuse the females in their lives. Jordan is like the former Southern Baptist leader Paige Patterson who said the Bible makes it OK to beat your wife, and it is OK for teen boys to say things about teen girls breasts.
Men and boys are not soft because of women, they are soft because of men like Jordan who do not realize that strength and discipline comes from respecting women and all people, PERIOD.
Hey, maybe Jordan is a Southern Baptist?!
