"Trump’s Cruelty and the Crying Children at the Border"

"The innocence of children is, in large measure, defined by their shock when confronted by the cruelty of the adult world. When you see a child being smacked across the face by an adult three or four times her size, the child’s expression is often one less of pain than of confusion. In “The Fire Next Time,” James Baldwin described, in 1963, how black children were innocent of a “basic” American reality—that “white people hold the power”—and only slowly began to sense the anxiety of parents fearful that their son or daughter might challenge the world’s assumptions. It is a small mercy, Baldwin suggests, that full understanding comes only with time: “A child cannot, thank Heaven, know how vast and how merciless is the nature of power, with what unbelievable cruelty people treat each other.”

On the Texas side of the Mexican border today, thousands of children, by order of the Trump Administration, are learning what it is to be objects of deliberate state-sponsored cruelty."

Trump child internment camps.  WTF!  How can a human do this, yet President Trump does it gleefully.  Trump CAN STOP IMPRISONING KIDS IMMEDIATELY!  Congress can follow his lead.

America must reject the Trump hostage, blackmail travesty using KIDS to get s Wall WS NNT EEDED REAY!) before Americans lose our souls forever!

Evangelicals MUST stand against this heinous act of separating kids from their parents for a minor crime, and even when NO crime is committed as immigrants seek legal sanctuary!  We are our brother's keeper!

Give Tweety $100billion for his WALL, and see what he does.  Will he free the kids or not?  If he frees them, it will be obvious he used them as hostages.  Tweety cannot free the kids if it is a law to hold them in cages.  If he does not free them, he is breaking the "law."  But if he doesn't free them he breaks his promise to do so if he gets his Wall.

From Twitter account of Davida Axelrod:
"Let’s be absolutely clear: @POTUS could end this hideous practice right now on his own authority. He chooses not to."

Separating kids from their parents absolutely 100% on Trump.  He did it.  It s rump's wish, Trump's act, Trump's way of negotiating for funding for his Wall.

NOTHING is sicker than Trump, with his ugly crew of Sessions, Sanders, Nielsen, using immigrant kids as human shields to get his "Wall" funded.  Americans should be outraged, and those who are not should lose THEIR kids.

"The Daily 202: Trump team cannot get its story straight on separating migrant families

"THE BIG IDEA: “We do not have a policy of separating families at the border,” Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen tweeted last night. “Period.” "

Sessions and Sanders invoke the Bible to enforce a non-existing law requiring the Border Patrol to arrest every immigrant at the border, then the Border Patrol separates kids from the parents.  It gets worse,  Strict rules do not allow Border Patrol officers to touch the kids!

Trump's administration struggles to say what is being done and why.  Stephen Miller know why. but no one wants that loose canon to speak, despite the likelihood it was his idea.  Miller is a sick, spoiled brat that feeds Tweety lots of ugly ideas.

"More than a month after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Trump’s new “zero tolerance” policy to great fanfare, members of the administration continue to struggle with how to talk about it – alternating between defending the initiative as a necessary deterrent, distancing themselves, blaming Democrats, trying to use it as leverage for negotiations with Congress or denying that it exists at all."

"Melania Trump weighs in on her husband’s cruel policy. Where are you, Ivanka?"

"Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform. She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”"

What of Ivanka?  Wil she be feckless?

"The first lady’s decision to step into the debate makes the silence of another Trump family member all the more telling. Where is Ivanka Trump, who is actually an official adviser to her father — and the one who claims that family issues are her portfolio?

All those photos of crying children don’t look so great on Instagram. Still, Ivanka, there is time to step up. You can do it. Be best."

"‘America is better than this’: What a doctor saw in a Texas shelter for migrant children"

For the true believer's who accept Trump and his methods, please make this one thing the exception.  Using kids in a political fight is WRONG!

"The small shelter along the Texas border to Mexico held 60 beds and a little playground for children. Rooms were equipped with toys, books and crayons. To Colleen Kraft, this shelter looked, in many ways, like a friendly environment for children, a place where they could be happy.

But the first child who caught the prominent pediatrician’s attention during a recent visit was anything but happy. Inside a room dedicated to toddlers was a little girl no older than 2, screaming and pounding her fists on a mat. One woman tried to give her toys and books to calm her down, but even that shelter worker seemed frustrated, Kraft told The Washington Post, because as much as she wanted to console the little girl, she couldn’t touch, hold or pick her up to let her know everything would be all right. That was the rule, Kraft said she was told: They’re not allowed to touch the children."

Do you know what happens to babies when they are not touched?  Toddlers?  Eventually they die.

"One thing immediately became clear to Kraft: Those who work at this shelter, whom she declined to name for privacy reasons, were doing what they could to make sure the children’s needs are met. The children were fed; they had beds, toys, a playground and people who change their diapers. But there are limits to what workers could do. Not only could they not pick up or touch the children; they could not get their parents for them.

“The really basic, foundational needs of having trust in adults as a young child was not being met. That contradicts everything we know that the kids need to build their health,” Kraft said."

This observation about the trauma being put on these kids is based on extensive study of the psychology of kids.  Americans do not get to point finders at Trump or Congress or anyone - THIS CHILD ABUSE IS ON AMERICA!  America is the only country in the world to do this!  That doesn't make us smart, it makes us inhuman and immoral.

"This kind of emotional trauma could eventually lead to health problems, such as heart disease and substance abuse disorders."

See this fact: Lack of physical affection can actually kill babies.  I learned this in Phycology 101 at Indiana University in 1965!  HOw can these "educated" people working for Trump not see the need to keep children with their parents?
